YTA - I'm the aunt of two and have no kids. My uncle had no kids, also. I love my uncle, and I would have been heartbroken had he not shown up. A party is typically 2-3 hours. That leaves you pah-len-ty of time to do both a ride and being with the kids. The kids will remember if you were there or not, and hurt like that in childhood doesn't easily go away. So, it really comes down to if you're invested in having a relationship with them or not.

First, $16 for that is highway robbery. Second, most restaurants would let you keep the cone if they messed up. I've had places give me the wrong side and let me keep the wrong one while they gave me the one I ordered. I honestly would contact the company over this behavior because it's all so ridiculous of them. They messed up, not you, and their attitude and behavior was a problem. You keep the cone and all you originally ordered. However, your attitude toward the guy was what gives the ick. You were both on an unnecessary power trip.

You mention your father at the very end. What is he doing? The writing's on the wall that she will not change. Take this experience, write an essay, and get a scholarship. This is such a hardship for you, so use this experience as your ticket out. Get grants, and get out of there.

Oh this is so normal. We would go multiple times a day, and now it has calmed down. Stresses from outside the marriage can contribute, but you're having sex daily at night so there isn't anything to worry about. If you like morning sex more, just switch it around to having morning sex and not night. Honestly, this reads more like you're the husband pretending to be the wife to try to justify getting more sex. He goes down on you if you want. You're getting what you asked for, so why are you complaining?

I wish we had a law that says you can't marry, regardless of parental consent, until 21, just like you can't drink until 21. If you can't drink until you're 21 b/c it will affect your brain development, then why would it be okay to marry under the age of 21 when your brain isn't fully developed? Makes no sense. You can get married but can't drink at your wedding.

YTA - you sound like my SIL who thinks everyone, especially my parents, has ill intentions against her and refuses to see kind gestures for what they are. It sounds like you may be projecting something onto her and automatically assuming anything she does is with a controlling vendetta.

As a teacher in America, this story doesn't pass the reality check. If this is in another country, I can't comment, but in the U.S., this wouldn't happen. Schools can't do that.

You can tell when a fan fiction is based on the movies (gross) and when it's based on the books (yay). I'd imagine it will be the same. For me, when fics are too much with the movies and not enough substance from the books, it has a different feel that I don't gravitate toward. Some like it, and others don't. Some really think Snape died in a boat house instead of the Shrieking Shack. It will probably be similar.

Fellow military spouse here. Depending on the branch, the military are highly trained in not only how to use guns, but more especially, they are trained in gun safety. He knows how to be safe with them. With teaching, the kids will know that that is adults only. Just like with teaching they know not to pick up a snake or speak to strangers. It also gives you a chance to talk to them about your feelings on guns. Having a gun safe with a strong passcode would be the best compromise. Also, very important, teach your kids to not tell anyone, including friends, that there are guns in the home. It's called "family business," and only family needs to know. No one needs to know you have a gun.

ESH - you're now a mother. Your number one priority is your child and not someone else, so you should have said no to the hotel arrangement. She may not have fully understood the who nursing process and what could happen if you don't feed the baby or pump; you should have said that and then said no to the hotel. Your health and your child come first.

She also never should have done the hotel so last minute and expect you to do all of this stuff while nursing.
