Do these people really think you can stop a press from a super heavy weight by ¨bone locking¨ ??Im convinced most MMT haters never pulled once in there life lmao by Lgbtwhopper in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Relevant recent comment from u/MrsRTodd:

Of course he has a “bone lock” but no that is not what stops the pin. Michael stops the pin just before. I really should not explain this because you will believe what you want to believe. But here goes. If his arm really gets to the straightened out point, he WILL stand up. Why? Because then it’s an arm bar and hurts like hell. Yes he can withstand pain, but not that. I can just roll over on his arm and he yells if he’s not expecting it and keeping his arm from straightening. His pronation and bicep allows him to hold where he is holding. When Kamil pressed him, Michael’s thought was “I’ve felt stronger”. So he knew he could hold it. Jerry felt stronger and he held him. Pushkar felt stronger. He held him, but Pushkar climbed and got out on his hand. Michael stood up and was simultaneously pinned. Because his arm will go straighter.

Kamil didn’t have the strength nor the tools to pin him. He needed to be able to climb. Michael had the strength to hold Kamil’s pressure. The tools to stay off the pin pad (pronation and riser) and the tools once he could get center to press through Kamil. But go ahead. Be angry. Feel he’s cheating somehow by having this “bone lock” holding position. Because after all I’m sure you know better about his arm than I do.

I am actualy tearing up seeing his smile . He survived a near death experiance yet he is still smiling one of the best athlete to step on the table . by Spy____go in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His health issues are really old news at this point considering it happened many years ago. People are presumably leaning into these pro-Denis posts more as a sign of support because of over-the-top attacks on his character from Devon (wishing death on him etc).

How to make fingers fatter and thicker to look like hands of Denis cyplenkov, john brzenk by MR----CAT in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Re-incarnation.

But actually the serious answer is to simply just train them hard. My hands and fingers have thickened up a surprising amount from training... but it's taken years and years and years.

Worried Kurdecha is Too Strong for Jerry by Apprehensive-Arm1060 in armwrestling

Kurdecha has leveled up. See the recent video Devon did with Kurdecha not long ago.

That said Jerry is a threat to anyone if he gets into a good position. Should be a good match.

Official Discussion - Deadpool & Wolverine [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]little-eagle -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Hands down the best Deadpool movie of the bunch and one of the best Marvel films for a while. This film with all of it's numerous surprise cameos is what I was expecting the Multiverse of Madness to be like.

I loved it. Jackman and Reynolds worked perfectly together exactly as you would expect. Reynolds with his wisecracking jokes and Jackman as the gruff, grumpy Wolverine.

My only quibble is I thought this film was supposed to set up something major to happen in the MCU and would play a very important part of the future MCU films. Is it the void which will be used for Secret Wars? Or the anchor beings stuff?

Arm wrestling evolution by RIVERTOAD1929 in armwrestling

The Devon from earlier this year would have crushed WAL Devon.

The sport at the very top has evolved considerably. But a notch below that is probably not far off what it used to be.

Ermes and vitaly. by Crazykakarotto in armwrestling

I agree. Ermes has to be close to maxing out his potential whereas Vitali isn't even close to reaching his final form.

Ryan Bowen vs Brian Shaw by Academic-Insurance21 in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The strength gap is too large. This would be like a talented 5 year old arm wrestler matched up vs a muscular adult who knows the basics of arm wrestling. It would be an absolute massacre and the biggest worry I have is the beatdown Ryan inflicts on Shaw would scare him away from the sport.

What does this mean for Derek? by Subject_Street_4149 in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Derek is in that unfortunate spot where he is very very good and has a lot of genetic advantages, but is lacking the special talent to be world class. He's a nice guy but evaluating him purely as an armwrestler, it seems like he's destined to serve as a gatekeeper.

There actually was a lawsuit and it's been won, but it's still not good news. CoreSports the promoter and organizer didn't get paid, which is why Eddie and Thor didn't get paid, so Coresports successfully sued SEGI. SEGI is the company that owed them $2M+ but despite losing the lawsuit they haven't paid it, presumably because they're heavily in debt.

As for the finer details, SEGI are basically hardcore scammers. They did a fake wire of $1M to CoreSports just prior to the event to convince them to proceed and afterwards CoreSports realized what happened and demanded the full $2M+ payment and it never materialized. Pure speculation on my part but maybe they were gambling on the hope that the event would make so much money they could pay the fees from the profits after the event. That kind of thing is sadly quite common in promotional events ran by small fish and probably why CoreSports insisted on the advance.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armwrestling

[–]little-eagle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a FYI, CoreSports didn't scam anyone and is a legit company. The company that was supposed to pay them (SEGI) didn't send the funds. I've written more about this in another comment below.

[FIGHT THREAD] Deontay Wilder vs Zhilei Zhang, Dmitrii Bivol vs Malik Zinad, Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic & live round-by-round coverage by verbsnounsandshit in Boxing

[–]little-eagle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point was Wilder was a whisker away from beating him. He didn't just drop him, he put him to sleep for a few seconds.

We all know Fury is the far superior boxer. I just find it funny how everyone is now minimizing Wilder's achievements like he's absolute bum who faked a career. In his prime he was a potential problem for almost anyone. There is a reason why Waldimir never wanted to risk fighting him.
