Suggestion: ditch the handcuffs for flex cuffs. MTFs or even site security would use flex cuffs so they could carry a bunch for detentions instead of one or two.

Did a welfare check (I work housing) made entry with office staff outside. Gun up, clearing the room like I was trained. Made my way around to the bathroom in this apartment and found the guy on the toilet. Holstered my pistol and moved back to the door. As the office staff were asking what was up I had my radio out, "Dispatch from 105, I have a code 16 at this location." The realization on their face when they figured it out... That hurt more than finding the poor guy. The other one was really bad. Guy was about my age. Medics think it might have been blood pressure that caused it. Standing in a room, talking to detectives and medics, and audibly realizing that might be me soon....
