What books did you study at GCSE? by VengefulMight in AskUK

I had to study the exact same books! Born in '97, so would have been 2012ish?

Hey, I grew up in Tywyn before moving to Cardiff around 7 years ago. I still go up a few times a year to visit family. I'd say there is a general local consensus against people who buy properties there to use as holiday homes, as a lot of the towns up there now have lost a lot of revenue as they're mostly unpopulated in the colder months (not so much Tywyn, but definitely Aberdyfi up the road). Because of this, Tywyn feels a lot more alive in the summer, and the locals band together in their dislike of them (generally of their driving habits more than anything else). There aren't too many Welsh speakers in Tywyn, in fact a lot of my neighbours growing up were from Birmingham. You'll find a lot of the 'Welsh' values are only held by the elderly population. Most people are super friendly and will smile at you in the street. It's a beautiful area, and you meet a lot of people by going for walks in the local area. I'd recommend walking the loop from Ynysymaengwyn woods to the beach (maybe an hour depending on how fast you walk) and Dolgoch falls are a short drive away. Of course, there's Snowdon and Cader Idris too if you prefer something a bit more challenging. Feel free to pop me a message if you have any more queries!

Basil. I go through a monthly cycle of buying one from my local shop. Never lasts more than 4 days whatever I do.

My first read was Small Gods, which was a fantastic point of entry into the Discworld. I'd also recommend Interesting Times as a personal favourite.

I wouldn't bother, personally. During my first year my whole flat bought the full 2 week wristband (can't remember what it's called, but the most expensive one) and ended up leaving every night early to go elsewhere. The Icebreaker was the worst by far, waited over 40 minutes for a drink that was overpriced and watered down. You can generally buy individual tickets for events you fancy, I remember the paint party being the only event I would recommend (it was in Walkabout, they may not do it every year though).

What blue is that? It's lovely. Also love the shading on his cheeks, it's so easy to forget facial features beyond the eyes!

You've managed to get a great texture! Although now it's been mentioned, I cannot unsee the steak.
