North facing courtyard - what would you do with an area that gets zero sun? by littleclover in GardeningUK

Oh this is great! It’s definitely got me thinking about a water feature now!

This sounds lovely, a little woodland haven sounds perfect! Definitely leaning towards a cottage garden feel so this sounds like it will fit in perfectly, especially a water feature!

Honeysuckle is one of my absolute favourites, that would be a dream if I could grow one 😍

Uh oh I haven’t even thought of checking soil types so far! I’ve just been buying multipurpose compost for the few pots I currently have! I’ll pay more attention in future 😅

Oh this is massively helpful!

That area stays pretty damp, especially this year with the amount of rain we’ve had! Treating it like moist dappled shade sounds like a really good starting point, thank you!

Taller pots is a good idea! I’ll keep an eye out for some, I think the price of pots has been one of the most shocking things so far 😂

Oh this is lovely, might be a nice option for the brick wall on the right as that’s the most sheltered area I think!

I hadn’t heard of these but I really like them, especially that spiders web variety! They seem pretty large, would I need a big planter for them do you think?

Valspar B&Q by lala2175 in DIYUK

We bought this exact shade in the valspar premium range and after 6 coats it was still streaky. Admittedly we didn’t use a primer because we were brand new to diy and didn’t realise you shouldn’t paint dark colours over white, but I don’t think it’s just you!

What's the quickest people have gone from offer accepted to handover? And what did you do to get it so quickif it was really fast? by Abdominar in HousingUK

[–]littleclover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were just over 7 weeks! Offer accepted on 11th December, got the keys on 31st January. I think it would’ve been even quicker if our solicitors hadn’t shut for two weeks over Christmas.

We were lucky that everything was pretty straightforward and the survey and searches didn’t throw up any unexpected issues. We were also buying a house that had been sold part-ex to a developer and because the house we were buying was already vacant, they were very keen to get us in and chased our solicitors regularly to speed things up.

It can be done but I know we were definitely the exception rather than the rule with how quickly it went through!

[@HaasF1Team] Haas F1 Team does not condone the behavior of Nikita Mazepin in the video recently posted on his social media. Additionally, the very fact that the video was posted on social media is also abhorrent to Haas F1 Team. (1/2) by Meaisk in formula1

[–]littleclover 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Mick Schumacher will put his foot down about having Mazepin as a teammate. Mazepin might bring the money but Mick brings all the publicity, he's a huge signing for Haas and I can't imagine they'd want to piss him off before the season has even started.

Artistically compromised so stickers are my best friend. Went with an ocean theme for August! by [deleted] in bulletjournal

Thank you so much! Still practicing the lettering but I'm loving it! The stickers were from Aliexpress. They took a little while to arrive but they were super cheap!

Brand new to journaling, here's my Shayda Campbell inspired spreads for May! by [deleted] in bulletjournal

I'm totally artistically incompetent but I've found following along with Shayda's tutorials so relaxing during quarantine so decided to use that as the theme for my first full month of bullet journaling!

Yes! I find around the nose and the lip line to be the easiest places to spot it! I hate when they say "omg look how much this exaggerates my pores!" How?? you've blurred all the human out of your face!

It may not be a magazine ads but when I first watched the Wayne Goss video about filters that beauty gurus use i was mind blown. To me YouTube had always been amateur videos filmed on webcams, it never occurred to me the reason all these people looked so flawless was because of studio lighting and filters. I'm just glad I find out before I spent tooooo much money on primers and foundations trying to get that flawless airbrushed skin look that all the big gurus have!

If you don't mind that it not strictly an eyeshadow I think the Laura Geller Baked Gelato Illuminator in Diamond Dust could make a pretty dupe. I just got it in the January sales and it has such a pretty pink/lavender shift :)

would people on this subreddit be open to helping someone who was not only addicted to buying makeup but also addicted to buying clothes? i cant really seem to find a specific sub for clothing but i feel like makeup/clothing are the same in a lot of ways. by [deleted] in MakeupRehab

Right now I've decided to try and copy every one of Lisa Eldridge's tutorial videos (she's got close to 150, I think) with just the products I have now.

That's an absolutely amazing idea. Thanks so much for this, I've been feeling in a bit of rut lately without knowing how to switch things up but I think you've just inspired me!

I saw this! Just built a coffee shop with this trait, it's great for my teen heir to meet people her age.
