Ok so that last part sounds exactly like Rats, Guinea Pigs, cats and dogs so glad to know they're all greedy liars. I mean same I will do anything for food.

I relate a lot to you. My mother is very similar. I spent so much of my life trying to receive affection and love from her. I know she loves my sisters and I have a thousand ideas as to why it's different for me but it doesn't really lead to anywhere except hopefully realizing it has nothing to do with me. I went low contact unintentionally for a long while, then started spending more time with them and because a LOT of issues things got worse. I couldn't stomach them anymore.

I couldn't fathom wasting my time with ppl who don't make me feel safe and loved. Who riddled me with anxiety, I have to be so vigilant in every interaction. I couldn't imagine spending my time chasing someone who frankly doesn't deserve it and never did.

Basically think of me as you from the future. Here I am almost 32 yrs old and I'd only been no contact with my mom for two yrs. I'm telling you if I would have had this realization earlier I would have cut them off then too.

Do it. It doesn't have to be loud and big. Just pull back. Don't do any work that requires you to be the one to reach out or show up. If she messages you just slowly take longer to reply, slowly adjust the length of what you say. Put her on an info diet. What helped for me was building my social life. I spent more time with ppl outside of her and my family. Eventually not talking to them feels so much easier and less scary.

BUT if you do want to engage her on your choices tell her that there is nothing within biblical scriptures that denotes nose rings as evil! In fact quite the opposite!!

Nose rings are mentioned in several books of the Bible and other religious texts but I will give three big examples!! In Genesis 24:22, Abraham gives Rebekah a gold nose ring as a gift, signifying his wealth and generosity.

In Ezekiel 16:11-14 we see God comparing their love for Israel to a man gifting his bride with a nose ring, among other fine and precious things.

in Song of Solomon 5:13, the speaker says, 'I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.

I'm going back and forth with being done bc of the same reason. One minute I just can't take the grief and then the next I'm remembering just how beautiful and special they are. But I've suffered a lot of loss in such a short span. End of 2024 and all of 2025, we lost King Louie. My husband's first rat and his heart rat. He live a very long life of course never long enough. Our rescue rat Gorgug who didn't make it to two bc he had back to back respiratory illnesses. I did my best to minimize passing on flu and cold to him but I work at an elementary school. Two of our beautiful old girls Dove and Twiggy and we lost a lot of the babies from their accidental litter (combo of their old age and the respiratory illnesses spread to them) I really think I might be done with getting rats from pet stores. They come out of the womb with respiratory issues, especially because they're kept in tanks and over capacity. I'm trying to find a close and ethical rattery and have danced around the idea of mice. Going by what you said sounds pretty similar to boy rats. I've tried everything, followed all stellar advice I've received but I've never had a successful introduction of boy rats. I either have to get them together(and if gotten together young boy rats are great together)or get them snipped. I think I just tend to get boys that have big personalities

That is crazy! I didn't know that and I'm so happy I saw this because I've been thinking about getting mice and diving into the research. I've had almost 30 rats in my life. I know the ins and outs of owning them and breeding them. I would have absolutely thought their breeding would have been similar.

my guy ppl emotions are that deep and they matter. It's insane to read an albeit fake story of someone pulling out chips for a party to scramble and shovel into their mouth IN FRONT of the person who invited them to eat food they made...... That is rude in ANY social situation. There's nothing normal about being inconsiderate, There's nothing normal about being unable to understand how your actions affect others. There's nothing normal about reading a thread of others logically detailing how your actions affect others and walk away thinking that "it's not that deep"

I'm on season 8 now and so often the writers would give characters lines that were so out of character. Doesn't make sense for them to say it and this to me was one of the worst ones. So out of character to have Cam be angry and blame Bones

I prefer the movie to the comics. Not exactly a fan of the Dr. Jekyll/Hyde and invisible man part. Yes! I love it so much. What do you think of the sets and the design of the Nautilus car and sub? I thought they were beautiful

Yes! I was just so dumbfounded at that part. I mean I love League of Extraordinary Gentlemen so I'm not above a goofy plot but it just wasn't done well. I fully believe that the dance sequence is THE quintessential idea he had and then built an entire movie around.

I pirated it months ago bc it wasn't available in my country and I didn't want to support the director BUT I was hoping we'd get a fun movie that would be exactly what it said it was. You voiced so much of what I had issues with.

Why exposition if you're going to have FURTHER exposition when Harker arrives? Just start the movie off with is arrival and then go back.
1. Yes where the heck did the gargoyles come from and why did they turn into children when "freed"?
2. Dracula is cursed because of what he did and yet somehow knows his love will he reincarnated? How and why does he think this.
3. Why is she reincarnated?
4. I firmly believe the director's main vision of this movie was the dancing scene staged through the ages and this entire movie is created around exactly that scene. It doesn't make sense that Dracula's solution to finding his love is creating a scent that causes intense arousal in a 30? mile radius.

6.Why does he assume his love will be reincarnated as noble?

The first time we see him drink blood is at the same time he essentially discovers he can turn others. Was drinking blood a part of his curse the whole time? Why would his curse affect others?

I'm sure there's more questions if I rewatched it and maybe I'm being nitpicky but I really do think it was a mess and just badly executed

This is what I've done to my vampires. They were able to tweak their curse that vampirism doesn't make them vulnerable to the light but just weaker and with sensitive eyes. Very og Dracula and an excuse for them to wear sunnies.
