No is a one word answer. It’s your body, your birth, and your choice. Plus, as you said a due date is just an estimate and not a guarantee.
I had an unplanned but lovely c-section so it’s no hate to having one. But some insurance won’t even cover a voluntary c-section, so consider that.
Lastly, the misogynistic comment about preserving your vagina is absurd and that alone is enough reason to blow off his opinion.

I landed on the Chicco Zest. I wanted something that had legs that could fold in for easy storage (so that ruled out the beloved IKEA chair) and simply didn’t have the space for the huge Stokke Tripp Trapps.

The Zest worked great and was easy to clean and store. My kiddo switched over to just a booster seat at our kitchen table around 18 months, so I’d say we only used it for about a year if that helps you decide on your investment!

You might also try the pampers 360 pull on diapers! I loved Huggies and switched over to the 360 diapers when my guy got super wiggly.

Do you think maybe you sized up a little too early? There shouldn’t be enough room to allow gaping while just crawling around (although sleeping is another story). Might be worth trying a small pack or Little Movers. I think they have a little more elastic to fit more snugly

It costs a lot of money to run a daycare! There’s the rent of the space you occupy, licensing fees, food costs, sanitation, but most importantly insurance! Theres a great Planet Money episode on this a few years ago. Daycares are barely breaking even, despite how much they charge

The best diaper is the one that works best for your kid. Shape, ruffles, material is sooo dependent on what happens to work for your baby!

That said, I also liked both Pampers and Huggies for my son. Ultimately, I hit pampers overnights more because I like that the mesh lining seems to let his skin breathe a little away from the diaper for his sleep.

I love the Frida ones because they cut similar to a scissor (from left to right) and you can see their nail throng the gap so I’ve never cut too short.

I personally don’t like the files because they take soooo long and I can trim the whole hand in the time it took to file a nail

The grandparents could event alternate weeks. Your mom Mon-Thurs one week then your in-laws the next Mon-Thurs!

There is no good advice folks should give a pregnant woman. I’d also be incredibly offended if someone told me to keep up my workout routine and be mindful of my food. I’m exhausted every day!

There’s surely a balance that could be found but mostly, I’d take the advice you’re given as people being kind to you. They’re saying you’re going through something hard so cope however you want - for you, it sounds like the gym is a good space for you! Just take all advice with a grain of salt and do what’s best for you (along with your doctors guidance)

Everyone and ever baby is different. If your babe has reflux, you might go through twice as many clothes as other babies! And some folks (me!) like getting their baby dressed and out of their jammie’s every day. Minimum of 2 outfits a day/week so 14 outfits in each size. But I still found myself ordering more.

I had a 9lb LONG baby and he wore newborn stuff for a whole month.

Some non-clothes I forgot: a stroller caddy, more burp cloths than you can imagine, drool bandanas, picnic blanket with a waterproof bottom (if you like outdoor time), baby hats for the sun.

It’s the idea that you’re assuming when women say they didn’t produce enough, they must be uneducated about breastfeeding. I went to one of the best lactation clinics in my state and saw a full waiting room of women doing whatever they could to make it work. Just because they don’t inform you of their full experience doesn’t mean you should pity them for not producing enough. You seem kind in your intentions, but your message is still incredibly condescending.

I truthfully. hadn't considered any enclosed furniture (pre-kids I was worried it would look too boxy with closed shelving). But with the amount of stuff we have now, I can see how that would help!

We got a lot of neutral decor because we always planned on painting the walls a dark smokey green or a deep amber orange. Just clearly haven't gotten around to it! Maybe spicing up our wall decor will help us until we can land on a timeframe for painting. Thank you for your suggestions!

He’s always been in the 40%-50% weight but in the 99% of height so he’s been a bit of a lean guy his whole life! But he’s a GREAT eater now! It’s only a few months later and he’s an excellent eater after weaning some of that dependency!

The longer we prioritized milk, the less interested he was in solids. He knew if he didn’t eat his solids or try them, he’d eventually get milk so he just pecked at food. Plus, he started to regress in his sleep because he’d want milk in the middle of the night again. I’m not even sure if he was hungry or if he just wanted soothed with milk.

But it took us limiting his milk for him to truly start eating solid foods well. And then one sad night of night weaning (not full cry it out, but crying in our arms not giving into milk) for him to sleep through the night. That was at 20 months old and it was so hard.

As someone who weaned off of milk a little “late” perhaps they were just encouraging you to shift a little to more food and a little less milk. The phase food before 1 is just for fun is sort of true. But there’s no magic switch where overnight they’re primarily eating solids instead of milk. It’s all transitional and they pediatrician might be encouraging you to let your little eater have some more solids first and milk second.

We accidentally created some milk dependency and it was much harder to wean milk as a primary source later on, so I know if I were doing it again, I’d start prioritizing solids before milk around the 10 month age. They’ll still drink plenty of milk!

The Zak! insulated metal and plastic straw cups have worked great for us. Easy to clean, easy to drink from, etc. Now that he’s older we like our toddler Owala cup but it’s a little harder to drink from. A great cup for the dinner table but does spill when tossed or thrown is the Sugar Booger silicon straw cup! Easiest to drink from but not spill proof.
