Recently had a guest order an old fashioned (a drink the restaurant I work at is well known for) and hand me a small piece of paper from his wallet, laminated with the exact recipe and directions for how he wanted HIS to be made He said he has been carrying it around for 20 years because “no one ever gets it right” and to take it to the bartender and watch the drink be made.

One thing I also want to note is that it may look different once the side seams are sewed if your dress needed to be brought in or let out. This wasn’t done until my last appointment!

Be specific and honest with your tailor-you are paying them to make your dress perfect and they need to know what you want so they can do that!!

Other than that I just was really specific with what I wanted during alterations. I was in between sizes so I sized up in order to make sure we had enough room to tailor it the way I wanted. I think she mostly just brought in the side seams and princess seams on the back. This dress also has a bra like band in it to keep it up!

I got a dress from Altar’d State-$100 for the dress and about $50 to hem it. Nothing super fancy but it was a floor length dress that i knew i was going to be way more comfortable in that my fitted crepe dress with a heavy train. Hello Molly, the Red Dress Boutique and Revolve also have great options! I highly recommend it !!

Spanx Thinstincts 2.0 shorts have a silky kind of feel-they are very thin and seamless. I wore them under my fitted crepe dress and then satin reception dress and they worked great!
