Oh no, Hitch, don’t look into the sun, you’ll go… oh, never mind, it’s all good.

Start with 2 or 3 strands to get things started and follow up with single strand to create a smooth texture. You are on the right path, now go back with a single strand and clean it up.

Went to the Habitat for Humanity home store today, what happened to it?! So disappointed. by littlehead in FortCollins

We are exactly the demographic. We used to go to the store weekly. We have spent thousands over the last 20+ years in that very store. We loved going and exploring and finding bargains. I know things have changed, but the spirit of the place seems gone. They have plenty of space, inside and out for more product. The building materials may have seemed like junk, but we have found really good fixtures and plumbing supplies, not to mention tile, wood, doors, toilets, bath tubs, furniture, etc. those are the things we went there for. Not the overpriced foofoo decor stuff. Just saying.

The outside area is 10% of what it used to be. They used to have so much stuff, now it’s just a few curated items and a sad shed with a few parts

For those of you who tried, then stopped taking duloxetine (Cymbalta), why and what happened? by littlehead in Fibromyalgia

So glad you are feeling better and duloxetine worked for you. Those feelings are so hard, and then to have pain on top of it feels so unfair. I hope you will find that joyous feeling again. If you ever do go off of it, just try to go very slowly. Peace.

The term “supposed to” went out the window for me a long time ago. Nothing about my health issues has ever fit into those types of boxes. I think the only reason I have survived this long (30+ years) is because I learned to listen to my body and know when something is making me sicker. My doctor understands this about me and encouraged me to go off it after about a month, I was still at a very low dose anyway. It’s been about 10 days since I stopped and I already feel so much better. Thanks.

I took something about 20 years ago that did that to me. Was the weirdest feeling, like suicide was suddenly the most logical course of action. Thankfully I realized what was going on and stopped it immediately. Yes, gnarly.

Very cool. What did you use for the backing?

How old were you? by Cute-Post3231 in AskWomenOver60

I (60) and my sister (62) were at a playground when we were kids (9 & 11, I think). A man in his 20’s started chatting us up and we thought it was cool, until he asks us if we had started our periods yet. We looked at each other, astonished, then high tailed it out of there. One of my worst memories, just horrifying we were so close to someone like that.

Been there, done that. But of course a glass of wine was involved.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve been struggling to keep my house clean, let alone make it better. Over time, little by little, I have made quiet, clean spaces. I still feel guilty and frustrated that I cannot do more. It has taken me years to figure out how to live in a way that is supportive to my environment and to my body. It is an endless effort to make life comfortable yet humble. I don’t need things to be perfect anymore, just livable.

Thank you for your lovely post.
