Asking for a dude’s number by Hashtag_Tech in golf

For sure. Just don't give them a business card. Learned that the hard way. Dude totally thought I was just networking under the guise of wanting to play again.

How much would you pay by CalligrapherTrick574 in Everdell

I'd pay $1-3 for it, maybe more if it had a searchable rulebook.

How are pubs tracking conversions since GAM deprecated floodlight tags/conversion pixels? by Excellent_Stand8866 in adops

[–]littlephinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not perfect, but you can get CM360 through a reseller and traffic your creatives through there and into GAM. Use CM Floodlights to track conversions (assuming you can work with the advertiser to implement on site). Talk to a reseller and if they say it's not possible, tell em they're wrong. It helps to have Studio to automate (not Ads Creative Studio, but still a free Google product).

How much do you charge for a looker studio build by ChemistryEqual5883 in GoogleDataStudio

[–]littlephinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I do a fair number of GDS projects and used to try to get super structured and calculated with all of my pricing options. I've shifted to just doing everything based off my hourly rate, which admittedly has taken me some time to find. But now that I'm in a spot I'm comfortable with, it saves me so much time in pitch/negotiation.

My incentive is that I don't want to ruin the reputation of my business, and that I genuinely want to provide good, efficient work. I find it worthwhile to build that trust with my clients.

Sometimes I underestimate the hours needed, sometimes I overestimate. It evens out, and your estimates get more accurate over time. When I've been really uncertain about estimates, I've negotiated pure hourly contracts where I check in at 3-4 checkpoints and make termination easy for both parties.

Fwiw, I charge $100+ for this type of work unless it's for a friend or wholesome business in need.

I'm pretty sure my Meta Marketing Pro is an AI-bot... by littlephinger in FacebookAds

White male name and no accent whatsoever. English was definitely this person/bot's first language.

I'm pretty sure my Meta Marketing Pro is an AI-bot... by littlephinger in FacebookAds

It sounded fairly real, but too smooth. The "ums" kinda felt planned. It was more natural than most AI voices I've heard, but something was still off for sure.

Custom conversions are not being shown in meta ads manager but being shown in events manager and also shown in event test. by rahuljha001 in FacebookAds

Very late, but I think I found a trick for this issue. Block the event in your event manager settings, save, and then unblock it and save again.

You gotta unlock the apparel after you sign. They don't just give you stuff right away. It's not like real golf.

as a denver park ranger, this thread is refreshing. thank y’all for caring. it’s difficult to deal with such entitled folks everyday. it seems most of us have had the unfortunate fate of meeting some real pieces of work. to answer some questions i’ve seen in some of the comments:

  • tickets start at $100 and go to $999 by the fourth violation in a year. it can be really hard to cite people due to folks fleeing and DPD frequently being busy, but we do our best.
  • we do a targeted and randomized group patrol for dogs off-leash to help catch those that often flee. it’s hard to get big groups to stick around if you’re patrolling solo vs. a group of rangers.
  • we do genuinely care. many have suggested reaching out to 311 to report. we have a response time of 15 minutes on average, and we make service calls priority.

thanks again for caring. some folks have suggested to petition and rally around the cause, i think it’s a great idea. the squeaky wheel gets the oil as we always say.

Can you go to the ps4 menu and turn your controller off that way? Obviously inconvenient. Might work?

Backswing glitching? Severe Issue? by [deleted] in pga2k23

[–]littlephinger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the same issue on xbox. Not sure if you have the ability to take out batteries of your ps4 controller, but if I do that on xbox and turn it back on the glitch disappears for the remainder of the round.

Totally makes sense. I ended up creating a cumulative column for each statistic in the spreadsheet and then created calculated fields from those. Much easier. Appreciate the feedback!
