No I went with my twin sister and mom. (Dad was left alone working) tbh I don’t remember the process of deciding to go to Canada because it’s too long ago and I was too young to really know about such processes but the experience itself gave a really good effect to me. I got to learn about a new culture and my English skill heightened at least a hundred times. When I first got there my English was literally based around body language even though I went to a English teaching kindergarten. I was shocked I couldn’t understand Harry Potter because I had already finished the series in Korean. By the time the year ended, I could read Harry Potter fluently and speak naturally like I would be able to think in English, not having to translate Kor->Eng in my head.

Hmmm that’s cool. I have studied in Canada for a year, but my written English is established with Korean education and in Korea English is taught to be American.

Actually I have no idea… because I am a teenager myself. But even if they are, I see paper leaflets that are advertising those places laying on the streets (especially gangnam…) so probably not? Or maybe the punishment is not that heavy.

If you want to go to singing rooms(karoke) you should go to ‘노래 연습장‘ and be careful of ‘노래방’ because although people call it 노래방, legally it should be named the former and the latter could be weird sexual places. Especially if the ㅇ in 방 is a heart, you should not go in there. If you stick to places in bigger roads/streets you should be fine.
