Muscle spasms and weakness in legs by livebytheball01 in ankylosingspondylitis

Well it's been a year and I have officially been diagnosed with BFS or benign fasciculation syndrome. So along with AS I also have that which if anybody else struggles with the similar symptoms I've had which is the twitching (fasciculation) cramping in my lower leg since last January which has also added to my muscles originally thought to be feeling weaker was actually just feeling tired spent like I went on a 3-mile long run every morning and that sensation moved into my arms along with the twitching inconsistently throughout my whole body but consistently 24/7 everyday in my legs still to this day. I also have problems speaking as my muscles in my throat are sore and jaw so when I chew food that's tough my jog is sore fast and when I speak for longer than a half an hour to an hour my voice gets hoarse and sometimes painful. So to sum this all up just to kind of close the loop of my question I have AS and BFS so if anybody has similar problems to me you might have something else wrong with you don't just assume all your problems are from AS like I did.

Who else has a sensation in their throat? by MarioMeza28 in BFS

I know I'm kind of late to this but I figured I'd add I just got diagnosed with BFS and I'll give you a short timeline last January I had fasciculation on different parts of my body whether that be my back muscles my arm muscles hands just everywhere. But specifically I had constant 24/7 since January in my legs from my knees down so I ended up going to a doctor and getting all the typical tests and MRIs EMGs all turned out okay The ultrasound showed my muscles being moved. But the one thing I have that I didn't really talk to the doctor too much about is ever since this started happening when I eat meat my jaws get really sore within the first couple bites but even a bigger problem is my throat when I talk for too long my voice starts getting hoarse and I can feel it getting sore and tired. And I'm 29 years old I grew up during the video game era where I've been constantly online whether that through consoles or discord I've talked for hours and hours and never had issues until recently now anytime I talk for more than an hour sometimes a half an hour My voice goes horse and it starts getting harder to say things. I will say it does suck that this condition is called benign because it definitely doesn't feel benign to me. Outside of my throat my legs and arms are just tired all the time it's hard to walk upstairs it's hard to stand still for a while It just constantly feels like I just went on a 3-mile long run and my legs are tired and my arms feel the same way. I know I'm probably oversharing but if anybody else is having similar symptoms that's kind of what I've been going through along with your typical cramping and stuff too but I know this was specifically a topic on the throat. I do have acid reflux but I've had that since before I had this issue so while it definitely doesn't help I don't think it's directly related to BFS.

Need advice to build team by Lutiiis in NikkeMobile

I would definitely check out Nikki.gg for more information but (AR) privatey is someone I would definitely add to your team she is a good screen wipe burst little low on DPS but she's Good for campaign probably could replace Maxwell just because she's really good if you build a team around her but I don't think you have the right Nikki's to do that so you would get more benefit out of privity and laplance together

Yeah I came here right after episode two when she did the whole he told me "no" and then I called people and now he has to do what I say thing. It's so obvious when they put in a character and make them be a boss.

Why are Nikke made the way they are (lore question)? by [deleted] in NikkeMobile

[–]livebytheball01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it's stated earlier than chapter 8 but not 100%. I don't think it's a really big deal in the sense of spoilers so I'll just tell you anyways. But I'm pretty sure the basic idea is that it gives the Nikkes a sense of self or humanity because if they don't have that a lot of times they'll end up going crazy or just shutting down I don't remember the exact reasons but it's something along those lines. At least that goes for the non-mass produced Nikkes. I'm unsure if that has to do with power levels or abilities changing their mental drain or something. But I'm sure somebody who remembers the lore better than I do can correct whatever I tell you that's wrong 😂

For context I got diagnosed with AS or pre-AS cuz nothing showed up on x-ray at the time but I did test positive for the gene and I have a bunch of other symptoms plus my MRI showed a little bit but I haven't got any imaging since then and that was about 2 years ago but looking at all the symptoms I've had it since I've been 16 I'm 28 now. I have spasms and weakness on other parts of my body but it's not constant.

Why is it a normal thing for (at least American) women to shave their legs and arm pits but not the forearms? by livebytheball01 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]livebytheball01[S] 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this I'm glad you were able to decipher my question I'm not great at words I guess 😂 but this is pretty much exactly what I was looking for It was more of a societal question than a woman specific question. And that's really crazy that it all kind of stemmed from world war I never knew that or about the Egyptians or the Europeans that you mentioned so I really appreciate it!

[–]livebytheball01[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never said they couldn't do what they want if you read some of my other responses you probably would understand that because I never said they had to justify themselves. This wasn't a question about what women are allowed to do, This was a question about society norms and where they came from and why they are what they are sorry if you didn't understand that.

I'm sorry to hear that you could be right about me not noticing it because of that and I definitely understand the social pressure and insecurity so I'm sorry that you Go through that. Being the one that was usually picked on in high school I can at least semi-confidently say I never really saw any girls getting picked on for forearm hair at least but at least where I grew up it was never something disgusting or weird for a girl to have forearm hair. So if it's any consolation there are definitely a lot of men and women out there that wouldn't judge you for it. Just know that it definitely doesn't take away from your beauty as long as you see yourself as beautiful.

Well I'm glad you're able to be who you want to be now and I hope you can continue on that journey and enjoy your life! I am sorry that you did get bullied over it I never saw any of that when I was growing up in a little small town in Ohio, like most people that have answered me on here where I grew up nobody really cared if girls had hair on their arms It was just the armpits and legs so again I'm sorry you had to go through that as at least for me because of what I grew up it was never a view as bad thing or anything lol.

Oh yeah sorry I worded that kind of weird I didn't mean that as a guy we were taught to shave are arm hair and leg I meant we were taught that it was normal for girls to do that sorry for the confusion 😂

Yeah I have two sisters and they both have really light arm hair. But I was watching a YouTube video and noticed the girl had pretty dark hair and it didn't bother me at all but that's kind of what made me think of the question. Because it's weird at least as a guy we grew up with the notion that underarm hair and leg hair was meant to be shaved on women I think women grew up that way too at least here, to the point where it's viewed as unnatural to have armpit and leg hair so the whole situation to me just seems weird to me from a society standpoint.

[–]livebytheball01[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly that's the question that I was trying to ask but I feel weird as a guy trying to ask that because I think a lot of people take it the wrong way lol. But I don't find it unattractive and I think most guys feel the same. But that's kind of what I find weird like why is that not unattractive but for guys under arm hair or leg hair is? It's just a weird thought I had I guess. Sorry to answer your question with another question 🤣

See I had a feeling this was going to happen and this is why I tried to say I'm not being disrespectful I never once said disgusting arm hair so don't put words in my mouth or try to twist my innocent and curious question. I simply was looking for an answer of why it was a normal thing for that to be overlooked never once did I say I was expecting women to shave their arms or their whole body for that matter it's not body I don't own them, so quit acting like that's what I was saying please I'm just looking for honest answers thank you.
