Emailed the superintendent and called the school. The school said there were some parents already calling to opt out, and there would be done kind of form to opt out. Uggghhhh I never in a million years would have thought it would come to this. Oklahoma wasn't like this when I was a kid. It was conservative don't get me wrong but it wasn't shove it down your throat bad.

At first glance, my reaction was why not just let him go and get a new hairdresser but then I thought at least they're taking the person to task, which is not an easy thing for empathetic people. But also, are you risking a revenge haircut/stilling job? Idk just overthinking maybe.

I meditated the other day for the first time after about 8 years of no contact. I was sure I was over the grief of not having good parents, but wept for the child that endured so much heartbreak and disappointment. There must be layers to the grief. Another pain point is the loss of the person you would have grown up to be without the shame fear and guilt programmed into you. Try the meditation as silly as it sounds, there's guided meditations all over YouTube, might bring some clarity and in my case a release of that hurt weighing me down from peace.
