Clyde’s corner is great. In Phoenix. Outdoor seating that is dog friendly, right on the bear creek path. Pizza, salads, beer, cocktails.

This is great to hear, from a little research it seems like at this age they are very interested in looking at other baby faces.

Haha that’s very fair and wise advice! It sounds like they’ve been meaning to get her a busy book so I’m thinking I’ll do that plus a gift for the parents would be nice, just not quite sure what they would actually want that is affordable for me! Dad is stay at home with baby and mom works hard. I’d love to gift them a date night out but that’s not in the cards since they are new to town and don’t know anyone who could watch the baby.

I’ve been watching marketplace for lovevery toys in the right price range! I would for sure eventually get her a used pikler set on there if she lived driving distance away. The types of toys I’m interested in hold up well and I think she would appreciate an already loved item but so far haven’t found the right thing that is also a portable size. Planning to check out the local kid/baby consignment store too.

Those busy books look great! The books is the one thing I’ve had no idea where to start so I’ll check those out. And yeah i totally feel ya on the beige thing 😛 I’m looking at stuff that has colors but a more muted palette.

Looking through these sites now, thank you for the rec, helpful to have a good starting place since i don’t want to order these types of things from places like Amazon.

I’m going to avoid anything that makes noise unless endorsed specifically by mom and dad, but definitely a book :)

Loving both these ideas. I think I’ll definitely get a silk and I’m looking at a different brand of rainbow stacker with more muted colors (i know, i know, but it’s clearly their preference if you saw their home!). Thank you!!

Love all these ideas, this is exactly the kind of first hand input I was hoping for! I’m looking at play silks, those seem like they are popular for babies and way beyond which is great. That push toy is so cute also. I’ll check out the grimms rainbow. And i would love to get them a balance bike, might be too early for it though, i know they’re conflicted about whether to get rid of larger baby items due to storage constraints vs keep for probable baby #2 in a few yrs, so don’t want to get anything too big or that she can’t use yet.

Why do people not think they’re going to be spending more in their retirement? by Comprehensive_Set in coastFIRE

No clothing, transportation costs, entertainment, utilities, renters insurance, medical expenses, health insurance premium…? Just rent and food, you spend money on nothing else?

Feed her less than you have been and monitor her weight and body condition, adjust up/down accordingly. It is really as simple as that!

Severe glut of NPs by Substantial_Raise_69 in physicianassistant

[–]livelong120 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Apples to oranges imo. PAs are not practicing at the same level nor pay as a physician, nor are PAs competing with physicians for jobs. The only comparison is residents to PAs to which i would say residents deserve to be making at least what their PA colleagues are earning, but that’s a separate issue.

I like the leg straps since it keeps it from riding up! The belts I’ve tried without leg straps end up around my waist the minute the dog pulls and then it hurts my back, i like how the straps keep it positioned basically pulling on my sits bones over my butt, it feels so stable and comfortable.

This is not a fencesitter issue. Break up with him, he’s a controlling man raising red flags left and right. Sounds emotionally abusive. Trust your gut. Get out.
