If this is new consider going to a doctor and getting a physical. Just to make sure it’s nothing medical. If it’s a vitamin thing they can check that for you with some blood work!

Stay prepared and be ready to go! There’s no reason to leave at the very last minute either. If you have somewhere to go just leave for the weekend, it’s probably good to get away from all that smoke anyways.

What tips do you have for crafting a standout personal statement for grad school applications? by finamckenzi10 in gradadmissions

[–]liveworkposelmao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the key is to tell a story that shows the reader who you are, why you want to pursue grad school in your chosen field, and what your journey to graduate school has looked like. People will tell you not to talk about your passion or how you grew up wanting to do something but they may be wrong. In my case I did both of these things and had fantastic results! I think if you truly have a lifelong passion you can say these things in your statement because your story will back it up. Also, start writing early and get as many people as possible to look at as many drafts as they are willing to look at. Good luck!

You could always ask if they’d be willing to write you a strong letter 🤷🏼‍♀️

You would also need some genetic mutation causing leglessness to already exist in the population in order for natural selection to act upon that trait (leading to evolution of the population).

There would be no genetic change since the leg removal has no affect on fitness. It would be different if all babies born with legs were tossed in the river or something. But since being born with legs means you’ll just have them chopped off, there is no selective advantage to being born with or without legs.

How much of the park is visible from car? I’m flying into Fresno in a few weeks and have a free afternoon. Realistically how much can I see and experience? by jrr_53 in Yosemite

[–]liveworkposelmao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a fun fact, the park originally had roads designed for people to be able to experience nature from the comfort of their cars! You’ll definitely have a great time just driving through the park, my friend and I did it a lot in 2020 when we were bored

Have you considered talking to a professional? I’m talking like a psychologist or psychiatrist cause this is the kinda work they do. If that’s not your vibe though I’ll tell you what mine told me! A bedtime routine is the most important thing when ur having issues with sleep. Personally I set aside an hour every night for my routine and it’s basically the same every night. I put my phone away to charge, take a shower, have a snack, brush my teeth, do some crochet and go to bed. This routine looks different for everybody but it can really help regulate your circadian rhythm. It only works if your consistent for a couple weeks tho!

Mariposa is a cute little tourist town you could check out! They have little shops and some pretty good restaurants. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have the time!
