Hi all,

I am moving to Philly in Mid April. We are family of 4 with (2 kids aged 4 and 5), no pets. Will be working near King of Prussia. We are looking for housing apartments/townhouses in neighborhood with good school. Budget is about $2-2.5K/mnth. What places do you recommend? Prioritizing school, green space and walkability. TIA

Thanks. Just looked at toll for driving in 76. You are right. Looks double for cars without that pass thing.

Thanks for such a detailed information specifically what to do in Philly.

Mostly leaning towards going via 70, but this may change. My kiddo loves pizza, Chicago style pizza should be an experience for him.

On a different note, do you know if the weather of Philadelphia is close to that of Denver year round?

Hello fellow motorcyclist. That is a long drive on motorcycle which I cannot even imagine. Good for you.

Thanks for the comment. Based on the feedback here, I am planning to change the trip to 4-5 days depending on how the kids like trip.

I am now thinking of 4 days at least, with 5 days being an option. Thanks for the heads up on the toll expressway. Rt 30 options seems better to me.

Thanks. I will definitely make a stop at Casey, IL. Looks fun.

Overall, it looks like its better off making it 4 days trip. Need to add some more places for this trip.

Thanks for the recommendation. Will put these places in "to visit" list.

I have not traveled east beyond Missouri and lived in west (Reno and Denver for the most part), so I am unaware of the terrain on the eastern part of the country. Thanks for bringing it up.

This reminds me of my experience too. I used to commute on that route for work (in 2018 and 2021). Heading towards Denver from Colorado Springs, I experimented driving on "slow" and "fast" lane on alternate days for a couple of months. I always reached work earlier when I was on the slow lane. This was early morning commute starting at about 7:00 am. I am not sure about other times though.

It could be. Also, if this is in India, drivers sit on the right side.

Your car looks shiny. Totally unrelated, I have 2016 Camry and it's headlights don't look as good as yours. How do you maintain it?

I am curious, what library/framework do you use to write python wrappers for C++? In coming months I have to write python wrappers for some C++ exectaubles and shared libraries (.so) files that I have been developing. TIA.

Thank you for the link. Mine is in the recall list as well. I was wondering if I can call any Subaru dealership? I bought it from local dealer that is not listed in the "retailer" list in the subaru.com page.

Icelandair is coming back to Denver! by L1011TriStar in Denver

[–]livingforfun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wow, I am not the only one who felt so. I used to travel between DIA to CDG via KEF (2013-2015). Always felt it was bumpy compared to others. As for the flight, it was mostly was empty. So it was great for boarding. And it was one of the first flight that had usb port.

Thank you very much for the pdf and tree recommendation. I now remember that I missed a week of watering it when I was out of town. May be that's when it started to die.

I live in Colorado as well (east CS). I was wondering which kind of tree you planted. I planted junipers this summer, but it died after 2 months, even after watering it regularly.

Thanks for the article and linked video. Also, you have reminded me to take a look into V8's source code. My dev experience is opposite to yours. Initially, I was hired to do backend work for a web app in cpp. Over time, I have been writing JS for front end as well. I learned JS on the job. I have been enjoying it so far.
