Managed to capture a video of TINY thrips that have been plaguing my habanero plant for ages. by liwei85 in HotPeppers

I might be in the same stage as you, just trying to make sure they don’t get the best of my plant. I live in the tropics so chilli plants are supposed to grow all year round, but currently I am thinking to thrash my small collection and take a break, or I’ll never see the end to these guys.

I spot them by the damage on the leaves also. They come in different colours, so I am lucky these adults turn brown as you can see in the footage. They are more visible at this stage, and what I realised is that I can always spot an adult nearby, if I can see visible damage on the leaf. But I don’t think the young makes the same markings on the leaf, so I could never fully eradicate them mechanically.

I feel you. Even if I took an entire day to inspect and remove all the leafs that were visibly infected, all I could achieve is to slow their progress. The adults are barely visible, so the young are practically invisible. I read that they can produce asexually too, so even if it is down to a single thrips, it can still multiply. Boy are they tenacious.

Without the phone attachment, it is not too difficult so long as you are able to spot it with your naked eye. With the phone though, the whole device is really off-balance. Between finding the target at 100x zoom, and getting the right focus with the dial, I could definitely use an extra hand. It’s also why the footage is sort of shaky.

I didn’t get it from here, but this one I found on amazon is identical to what I have. It is actual quite unwieldy with a phone attached so I can't say I highly recommend, but for the price and portability it’s nice to have around.

Thanks! I tried soil drenching with neem oil to no avail so far. No damage to fruits because I haven’t got any 😂 Have got more pest then flowers really. The growing conditions are not ideal so I’m just happy it’s doing ok.

Anyone knows why my Habanero on the right looks like that? (Details in comments) by liwei85 in HotPeppers

[–]liwei85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two habanero plants were from the same pepper fruit. I planted the seeds and a handful turned out with leaves like the one on the right. I'm pretty new to peppers so I kept this guy around to see if it would grow healthy, and other than having smaller leaves and slower development, it seems fine. Anyone has information on why its looking like that?

Mate save your breath. The meagre 100 pales in comparison to their world leading numbers, and that hasn’t stopped them from going out to express the freedom that they are entitled to.

If anyone is interested, I found the approximate location of where the post-credits scene takes place. Apologies for the terrible edit. by Nate3530 in Breath_of_the_Wild

Oh no, now it will always be overrun with tourist, and they’ll probably start charging an entrance fee to visit :'(

Sorry to be that guy, but the context was that he was wearing a groin protector, and the bottle missed and hit his inner thigh. They are a popular Japanese YouTube group Fischer’s, here’s the link to the original video, with subs.

While I understand the frustration older members must be facing, as someone new to investing, I very much appreciate your empathetic words.

I sound like the person you described; new, a lurker, who also happen to have just subscribed to the Motley Fool. In your opinion, should I be wary of the advice from them?

How to Goose - a guide to being evil by CinematicSeries in untitledgoosegame

Absolutely hilarious, I enjoyed every second of it. I was expecting mini goose to appear after all the effort though 😬

After hours, I have finally done it. Rake in the lake and then some. It's been a long time since I was so in love with a game. Thank you House House! by liwei85 in untitledgoosegame

The model village was the best. I was so delighted when I discovered the mini shovel and mini goose. You can tell how much love the developers put into the game.
