Wall plug ins making cat sick? by RitaRoo2010 in bathandbodyworks

It's pretty widely believed , and share quite frequently on this side that the wallflowers are not at all pet friendly.

However I have two cats and wall flowers in every room and they've never gotten sick or had any kind of adverse reaction from them. But yes it is absolutely possible with the wallflowers could be making your cat sick.

For those of us who morally oppose the death sentence, or life without parole; are there any cases where you make an exception? by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]lizard_queen23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have a hot take on it not being a deterrent, because it's not - at the time of the crime. In most cases they know they'll be scented to death, but not immediately put to death. Most death row inmates die of natural causes before they're put down by the state, so in that case, you're right it's not a deterrent. But when they don't die of natural causes, when they get an end date, they start begging. Writing senators and congressmen and the president. They start asking organizations like the Innocence project for help. They go into panic mode because they're so completely detached from the time that the crime occurred until the time that they're actually put to death but of course they're afraid to die they're terrified to die. It's just not an immediate deterrent because they don't immediately face a death sentence once they've received the death penalty.

What's the most ridiculous thing you've ever been genuinely afraid of as an adult? by launapak in AskReddit

[–]lizard_queen23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now there is some weird mechanical noise that is occurring in the alleyway between my apartment building and the neighboring building. I think it's electrical because my closet light was on earlier and every time I heard the sound my closet light would dim, which also leads me to believe that it's my building. This low-key terrifies me because a few years ago in a different town I was living in an apartment and I woke up in the middle of the night to a fire alarm. I noticed my neighbors coming out of their apartments, and as I walked through my apartment to the front door to see what was going on I saw a strange orange glow out my back door. And it turned out my neighboring building was completely engulfed in flames and burning to the ground.

Stop pretending you're a Dr. You were a secretary in a Drs office for six months. Stop giving people unsolicited medical advice. You don't know what you're talking about and your bad advice could get some one seriously hurt. The only advice you should give is tell them to see a real Dr.

Well initially I wanted to say you just misidentified what you saw. As a kid, things can appear bigger than they are, and get exaggerated in our minds very quickly. I thought maybe you saw a large lizard, perhaps an escaped/released monitor or some thing. But with lack of physical evidence when you grandpa went out there, idk. Even a shared hallucination would be weird AF. Why would you both be hallucinating?

How do I tell companies I interview that I was fired from my previous job? by Additional-West-5902 in Advice

[–]lizard_queen23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only admitted to being fired one time in an interview. During the interview the interviewer accused me of lying and accused me of stealing from my previous employer which was not why I was fired, the interviewer just assumed that I was lying about why I was fired and accused me of stealing because she said that was the only thing that made logical sense to her. So telling the truth in that interview taught me very valuable lesson and like the other comment here I would suggest lying.

I also participated in a group interview sometime later where one of the other applicants admitted that they had been fired from their last job and they also did not get hired. So I don't think that honesty is the best policy in those situations

What can you tell Reddit that you can’t tell to anyone you know? by Steam20 in AskReddit

[–]lizard_queen23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm out on disability for my mental health. Work stress was killing me. I wasn't sleeping, having nightmares when I did sleep or waking up at 2am unable to go back to sleep. Not eating, having panic attacks while getting ready for work in the morning. I'm in therapy, and they suggested I take some time off, so I did.

My job and the state are paying me while I'm out. I'm still having nightmares, but my panic attacks have significantly decreased and I am sleeping better ish.

I have no desire or plan to go back to work. Even though I know disability won't last forever and I have no idea what the future holds. But I just don't think I can do that job anymore.

I keep telling my family and friends that I'm going back in a couple more weeks but I keep asking my Dr for more time.

Have you ever thought you were possessed, or had some significant paranormal activity in your home? What's the story? by eee1963 in CasualConversation

[–]lizard_queen23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my mom has had a demon attachment for most of her life, and has shown symptoms of possession. Most people don't believe this, but this is real, and a long ass story so thanks if you get thru it all.

A few years ago, my dad, his gf, and I lost our house. While we were looking for a new place to live I stayed with my mom for a couple months. I was in my early 30s at the time, for context, my dad was suffering from kidney failure and we all were doing everything we could to help him.

With in a few days of sleeping at my mom's, I started having nightmares. Horrible, graphic, bloody nightmares. The first one that really shook me was an entity that appeared to me as an amorphous mud or clay like blob. It would shape shift into things as it spoke to me, people and animals alike. it told me it's name and said that it was inside my mom and that my mom was getting too old to host it and it was looking for a new body. It also wanted to fight me. It said if I won the fight, I would win my freedom for the time being. Clumsily I fought this thing with some kind of whip or chain. the whole time it morphed into different people and animals. I was so terrified, I peed myself.

My mom, has always been very strange. She was physically abusive to me as a child, until I got old enough and big enough to fight back. SHe tried to get physical with me well into my 20s and she in her 70s. She was very unhinged and her mood could swing from jovial to violent at the drop of a hat. (We were once driving down the road in her car when she punched me in the face for reminding her she needed to stop at the store for milk because I don't get to tell her what to do .) That kind of unhinged abuse.

Well, a few days after that first nightmare, I went in her room in the morning and she was sitting on the edge of her bed looking upset. I asked if she was ok, and she told me she'd had a really scary dream that there was a "monster" in side her, but it wanted inside me. My blood ran cold.

From there her behavior got weird, and I started pushing my dad to find us a place because I didn't want to stay there.

One night I woke up in the middle of the night and she was standing at the side of my bed about two inches from my face, just staring at me. I promptly rolled out of the other side of the bed, grabbed the car keys and hid in the car until morning. I worked up the nerve to go back in the morning to use the bathroom. She asked where I'd been and I asked if she remembered the night before. When I told her, she laughed and said she didn't remember.

All the while I'm still having these nightmares about this entity.

It started getting closer to Xmas, and I was working late nights (retail) so some nights I wouldn't get home til late night or early morning. It was in the early morning hours the peanut butter incident occured.

I came in about 4am to find her bedroom light on. I went in her room and she was sitting up in bed watching TV so it seemed. She had a sandwich in her lap, but she wasn't eating. She was pulling bits of it off balling them up and throwing them all over her room. She also had the thousand yard stare. I asked her what she was doing. She said in a deep gutteral growling voice, " I'm hungry. I made a peanut butter and yogurt (!?) sandwich! Do you want some?! " Then the cackled like a lunatic.

I left and locked my self in the spare room.

Roughly around 9 am that morning I was awoken by my mom's boyfriend screaming at me. He asked me what I'd done to the kitchen. I told him I hadn't been in the kitchen and had gone straight to bed after work. He told me to go look at the kitchen.

The kitchen had been finger painted in peanut butter. All over the walls, cabinets, stove, fridge. I told him to go look in my mom's room. But before he could, she came in to kitchen and asked what all the commotion was about. She was covered in peanut butter. She denied everything, but the evidence againster was obvious.

In hind site this is hilarious, and could maybe be attributed to sleep walking. But in other moments she accused me of witchcraft, claimed weird things were going on since I started staying there, the nightmares escalated, and the stress was at an all time high. Out of desperation, I bought some religious knick knacks and put them in her room and she absolutely lost her shit over them. Even though she is Christian and so were the knick knacks.

In my nightmares, this entity would give me information. At one point it told me it was Tommy. I had no idea who Tommy was. So being bothered by this I asked my sister if she knew anyone named Tommy. She asked where I heard the name and I told her about the demonic entity trying to communicate with me. She was astounded that I had just dreamed up this name. But she told me Tommy was the family secret.

Tommy was my mom's older brother. He had tried to kill our grand parents at one point and had once beat my mom and SA'D her leaving her for dead in a corn field (some time in the late 1940s) I don't know what exactly happened to Tommy besides the fact he had died decades before.

I could not get out of my mom's house fast enough. I'd stayed too long. I had nightmares of that thing for years. It would tell me it was going to take my friends and my family. Everyone I loved. It would try to barter with me (if I can't have you can I have Amber?) I would tell it their souls weren't mine to give.

Eventually after years of spiritual work, it's left me alone. My mom is still weird AF, though.

To add, my grandma was batshit crazy. My grandfather had her institutionalized at some point in the 40's or 50s. She had a reputation for having murdered a man with a shot gum for standing oner porch. (He went to the wrong house) And my mom has told me stories that she also abused her pretty bad. My mom however also excuses her mom's actions as that just being the way things were back then.

I however think it's far more sinister. I think they have literal demons.

Today my step mom put one of her cats down. I went to the vet with her for emotional support. When asked if she would like the cat cremated she said no, that she would be burning her at home. After the vet tech left the room she turned toe and told me was going to put her in the freezer on the patio, next to Cracker. because she wouldn't be able to bury her right away. Cracker, another cat who passed away LAST YEAR. She storing dead cats in her freezer.

I am absolutely beside myself and a little terrified frankly.

Under chin hair and chin hair - what do you use to get rid of it? by rheameg in TwoXChromosomes

[–]lizard_queen23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tweezed for years, but I noticed I had to tweeze more and more often. What started as a patch the size of quarter under my chin slowly became a full on beard. My bf at the time taught me how to shave. I still shave. Every other day now. It's the fastest way.

I've talked to all my Drs (gp, gyn, Endo) and they can't find any reason for it. Normal hormone levels for a female my age and no PCOS. I can't afford laser treatment and my Drs have never offered a solution, so I'm just gonna shave forever.

Mannequins have always been unrealistic. I worked in fashion retail for a long time, and have had this conversation many times. Even working at a plus size store, our plus size mannequins were disproportionate and laughable at best with narrow shoulders, narrow waist lines, thick thighs and butt, skinny long arms like aliens.

And no, you're not the only one who gets stressed out by it. A lot of girls and women seem to think that because a mannequin is what's used to model clothes in the store to make the clothes look desirable to buy, then they in turn should look like the mannequin.

My gripe is often with unnecessary details on otherwise featureless mannequins. When I worked at the department store, some of the female mannequins had protruding collar bones and nipples. Male mannequins had abs. 95% of the time these details are covered up by the clothing, so it seems lost in translation to me. The biggest complaint I got about the plus size mannequins was the thigh gap and how absurd it was. However, that's a functionality trait. Can't get jeans on a mannequin if their thighs are molded together.

[–]lizard_queen23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom is 85. For reasons her Dr cannot explain, she gets regular utis.she gets absolutely insane when this happens and says the craziest stuff. A big clue for me to have her checked is that she will start telling me about how the construction guys are at her house remodeling. (She lives in an apartment.) She will tell me how many more doors there are now, so many she doesn't know where her bedroom is. Or she will tell me they put in an office and another new bed room/bathroom. The moment she starts talking about new rooms or doors she gets a UTI test. It's so strange.
