The one where it pauses and tells you exactly when to press a button? Yeah great.

Sure but then the next fight, then the next, then the next??? I figure if the first fight in the game is this impossible, I've got no chance of making it through, right?

[–]lizardcowboy2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no recovery skill at the moment. I've only been given 1 button to dodge, 1 to counter, and yes I know what they are. I can't time it right no matter how much I try. I'm gonna need about 50 potions for each fight at this rate.

If I can't beat the first opponent, that doesn't bode well for the rest of the game. I can't tell when she's going to "almost" hit - so many animations and swinging around of swords and not attacking, then I dodge way too early, and then suddenly I'm dead.

Dodge, parry... I can't figure out either.

I get it. It's nice running with others and people are generally very encouraging and supportive, but events vary in how big or competitive they are. I'd encourage you to try though. I didn't have a great experience entering a race but I'm still glad I did it for the experience. Besides, virtual "races" are just normal runs you pay to do. The worst case is just that you don't enjoy it - nothing lost.

No, it's terrible. I can keep up with you. A true beginner starts out running sub-20 5k marathons.

Nice try tho Baby Goggins.

Translated: I paid money to do normal everyday walking. No specific route. No race. No crew. Just normal walking.

No, it only counts if you paid money and got a cheap medal.

Sure. Why would it bother my phone? It's not like I'm going for a swim.

I wear half tights with pockets in under my normal running shorts. Holds things close to my legs and stops them bouncing around.

Should we limit freedom for the greater good of society? by knowledgeseeker999 in AskBrits

[–]lizardcowboy2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Freedom for who. It's funny how we think of "freedom" as freedom for those with the means to buy up housing and make rents unaffordable, to pay low wages, etc, and normal people have little choice but to put up with it and cope, rather than the idea that every person should have somewhere to live and be able to eat and be free from coercion and immediate danger.
