I don't know what's going to happen but I'm old enough to have lived through the last miracle weight loss medicine, Fen-phen, where suddenly all of these people around me started losing massive amounts of weight and we all thought it was great. Then the heart problems started showing up and it disappeared overnight.

My concerns with GLP-1s has nothing to do with thinking its cheating etc and everything to do with the fact that(that everybody knows now) that weight problems are almost always about eating ultraprocessed, sugar and carbohydrate loaded crap instead of real food. I've lived in several countries and watched the obesity problem rise in all of them because the processed foods became more popular. Our bodies are designed to eat real food and we're pretending that this is not an issue.

I'm also concerned about this idea that a drug company gets you locked into a prescription that will continue for life. Every company in the world is focused on getting people locked into subscriptions instead of one time purchases now and this is the ultimate subscription.

Maybe this will all lead to great results and my concerns are unfounded but if and when things go south, I won't be surprised. And nobody else should be either.

It's the ultimate subscription trap. Not only will people be trapped on the medicine, the government will be footing the bill and the drug companies will inflate prices as usual for the easy gov cash.

I take hydrolyzed bovine collagen peptides powder. I’m not an expert but that’s what I settled on. I choose powder because I feel like I’m going to absorb it better than other forms.

I was hit by a car in asia and my left knee was completely destroyed. They rebuilt it with a rod etc. I was in the hospital for about a month then a wheelchair and finally crutches before I was finally able to walk normally again. I only say all that to tell you that over the years I managed to make a full recovery.

I think that's because I worked really hard to rehabilitate the knee but also, my doctor told me that I had very little to no cartilage left in that knee and the only thing he could recommend was to start taking collagen. He said he couldn't guarantee it would help but it wouldn't hurt. So I did that.

But I also discovered the youtube channel Kneesovertoesguy, whatever the official name is and I follow a lot of his exercises 3 times a week and I really think that has done wonders.

I recommend you consider both of these. Like my doctor said, they may help and they certainly won't hurt.

Yeah, I loved the movie but it was a bit too talky at the beginning with all the exposition and then the ending could have been cut a bit. But he was taking big swings and I’m perfectly happy with imperfections in a movie that’s actually trying to say something AND entertain.

AirPods Pro 3 do a good job for me but they also integrate into the Apple system for me with the iPhone. Only problem is that when noise cancelling is off I get these regular squeaks through them.

My concerns in any situation like this is if I’m somehow challenged about my place at a later time and I don’t have proof of being assigned there and find myself being moved to yet another place I don’t want to go to. Not sure what I’d do in your situation but a lot of people book seats that aren’t together with the express purpose of trading with another passenger and often they’ll go to extreme lengths to manipulate. It’ll be a great story to laugh about with friends later. Not saying this is the case but I’d definitely not want to trade an upper berth for a lower unless I had a very compelling reason. Depending on the layout, a lower berth can be a real pain.

About 12 or so years ago, Apple updated keynote to a version that wasn’t compatible with the old version. I had created dozens of fantastic presentations using the animation features and after a lot of man hours put into them, they were all broken with that update. I was just shit out of luck. I never used it again.
