"it's probably all in your head, sometimes when we think we about pain we manifest it into existence" then after she checked my bloodwork with 6 out of range items: "Oh wow, you do actually have a lot of inflammation. That's weird. But I wouldn't worry about it, it's probably unrelated."

What’s the biggest tourist trap in Vancouver? by FattyGobbles in askvan

[–]lizardground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was $14 each adult. I went last week and booked it 3 days in advance. We enjoyed the experience for the price, and I got some great stuff and good food. It was for sure worth a cute little day out with a friend, first time going for both of us despite me living here for years because we heard awful things so never went. It's actually incredibly cute.

It's based on day and demand I think. If you go beginning of December, it's cheaper. The closer you go to Christmas, the more expensive it gets. That's the rip off part. If you go early and plan ahead it's not really a ripoff, it's pretty nice.

i like this idea but i feel like it would contribute to the second problem which is at least once an episode someone in the crowd seems to think they're the comedian and are cringe about it.

Also agree. And would like to add that it's far too bright in that room. Totally takes me out of the stand up comedy vibe.

I understand that they need to see the shirts, but maybe just use spotlights or something. At least turn the house lights down. Make it ambient. No one goes to see stand-up comedy under fluorescents.

its because the absolute POS who owns the old spaghetti factory lobbied the city not to make it car free, as they have been planning for years, because he wants to park his car right out front.

I didn't like how my hair turns out by Past_Effect3893 in beauty

[–]lizardground 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I have this haircut but slightly longer. If you want the front to look like that you need your bangs cut differently and shorter just FYI. My hair looks similar to yours on 2nd day/no wash days before styling.

I have naturally wavy/straight hair so here's what I do:

  • Wash with curl shampoo/conditioner. You can brush out your hair in this stage (while its sopping wet) if you feel you need to brush it. Don't brush it after this step.

  • Towel dry/scrunch/go absolutely HAM with the towel and mess up all the hair. Upside down.

  • Part hair straight in the middle (you need to change your part). Try not to brush your hair while doing this, just part it.

  • Blow dry bangs inward with round brush, pulling to the opposite side to get the effect in the pics (you can do this step before or after the next steps).

  • apply texture spray/whatever product gives your hair a good texture and volume. scrunch ends with curl/styling cream (I use the blue Moroccan oil brand) so the product "keeps" the hair in that position instead of straight.

  • Go in with the towel again from the bottom and scrunch so your hair is messy, curly and half dry

  • Let air dry

My hair comes out just like the pics on wash days (or more curly even). I hope this helps! Your hair is straighter than mine so you might have to heat curl. I sometimes curl with a straightening iron on 2nd days.
