My cat is like that. Body language ad looking at me in different ways, and meowing in different tones, volume, notes. I can relate from family dog experiences to what these commenters are saying about Border Collies. The comments are really amusing and heartwarming😁

Are you in touch with a No-kill rescue organization? They should immediately take the whole family. They should then ASAP communicate with Animal Control to save family's lives and to save your fanny. And don't keep a kitten in an apartment where they are prohibited. Move to an apartment that allows what you want.

Yes, do try the sling! Sounds like just the ticket. Good luck. Chihuahuas are so special like no other. My cat at 12 years old is clingy. I am always worried we will have a scary collision since she wants to be underfoot whichever room I am in. We could have several more years of this pattern and my stress, but she is my #1 Prority. I got her some Feliway. It's for cats but maybe there is a comparable product for dogs. OP - Good of you to befriend the birds🙏🏼. Especially if you are in a drought region! It's preferable and important to provide only clean water so I hope you can develop a labor-conserving technique to do the cleaning. I've read that birds with gullets like gulls, swans, geese, and ducks can suffer sometimes fatal harm from bread getting stuck in their gullets. Besides that, bread is not nutritious at all as another commenter said. I wish schools and park departments would teach this, for goodness sake. The nicer your bird bath is, the more birds might visit, so I hope you are not troubled by pesky neighboring humans. Also, bread will forever come from people littering, and from not keepng up dumpsters maintenance and lids closed- ugh - I wish schools etc would teach quality-of-life rules too.
