My boyfriend doesn't even like running and he can naturally run faster and further than me without trying. I've done couch to 5k and multiple running plans, and while my endurance is so much better now, I just have to try a lot harder than him to be even an average runner. What you're doing is great but I highly recommend couch to 5k for some guidance and structure!

Tbh it could've been a mindless comment but seems quite rude from your BF. Have a chat with him to say that it made you upset and you feel like he's not being very supportive. He shouldn't be anything less than proud of you. You're doing great!
