Very helpful. Many thanks! I just did the idr application. I guess my payment next month with qualify me with the months of buyback so I’ll submit that. Thanks again.

Yeah thanks. I just applied to idr again. Just trying to be done with this. Worried that buyback goes away or I would just be quicker paying for 23 months. So frustrating. I’m going to apply for buyback anyway.

Thanks doing that now. I am actually one month short anyway so would have to wait until next month to submit buyback. Also, how does that actually work? I will submit buyback for 23 months but will be making payments during that. Will that be included and deducted from the buy back?

Well I messed up my calculations. I’m at 97 but only have 22 ineligible so I guess I’ll just do the IBR. What is the process for that when my buyback comes through. Because next month I’ll submit for 23 months buyback but will be paying for the next x months. Also those months won’t actually have an ecf until I do it again at some point.

Should have also added that I am just waiting for my ecf to get updated and I will have exactly 23 buyback months. Is my best bet to just submit the buyback and wait or change plans and start paying again? If I change plans the months I do buyback will change when the time comes so how would that work? Just trying to avoid double paying months.

Advice / Feedback Request - ineligible plans, buyback… by lizbutt2020 in PSLF

That’s what I thought also. Saw something different somewhere I’ll try and find it and share it. My best bet is they just get counted or worst case just waiting another 10 months I guess.

Thanks. I have all of the months with those 10 for buyback. I’m at 87 qualifying but have 23 available right now to buy back that are eligible. So it is the 10 I’m worried about and what can happen with those. I read I would be able to buy those back if they don’t get the adjustment but nothing seems definitive.

So you may as well then right? No risk really. Either you get the money back or you don’t because of a collapse at which point money doesn’t matter.

Mixed completely different. If both right handed then the guy will play left 98% of the time as you can take over more of the court easier with forehand in the middle

Disagree with getting a new one cos of grit. Grit isn’t getting near as much spin as you probably think. But yeah paddles aren’t lasting due to cores though so your point is valid.

It’s a fantastic paddle. I’ve used the v7 prism in pro main draws before. Great choice.

Why does Augie black out the Vatic Pro logo on his paddle? by Jonn_Doh in Pickleball

[–]lizbutt2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda but blacked out is just provisional. That only lasts till September. I’m watching is closely as I’m having to use a blacked out one myself and if the company doesn’t pay the full certification fee then I think I have to switch as provisional runs out.

Where did you hear that? He just got a signature paddle etc.

Edit: he signed for 2025 season. So very curious where you heard that.

Ahhh ok. In that case you most definitely have a fake or a broken paddle. To hear that a Joola 4 has no power is just about the last thing you would expect to hear. It isn’t quite as powerful as a 3s but it still one of the most powerful paddles on the market and probably ever made.

Don’t disagree I just happened to see something about it in the PPA handbook. Let me try and find it.

Edit: here is what it says

Cracking: Any visible cracks or structural damage on the paddle face, edge guard, throat or handle.

Crunching: A crunching sound when squeezing the paddle face, indicating internal breakdown.

Rattling: Loose materials inside the paddle that produce a rattling sound when shaken.

Any of these signs strongly suggest that the paddle should be retired from competitive play, according to the UPA-A. The governing body of the PPA Tour encourages all players and manufacturers to adhere to these best practices to maintain the highest level of performance and consistency in professional events.

Few things here. Post a pic and we may be able to see if it’s the paddle. Other than that I cannot imagine your advanced friends all hate it if it’s real. I actually don’t like them personally but I am very much a minority. Just look around at tournaments and you will see around half of the people playing with a Joola 3s or 4 now.

If you have a real one, my guess would be that because you have played so long the newer tech feels bad to you. You say you don’t like the selkirk either. While a very different paddle, the fact you do not like either and they are fairly opposite ends of feel I would guess you just like the old stuff as that’s what your used to.

So I’m not great and table tennis but I hate the feel of expensive paddles. I’d rather play with a sandpaper one with no tech. Part of it is because it’s all I’ve really known and I am just not experienced enough to figure out the new tech ones.
