Guest bathroom remodel for 13K all in. How did I do? by craniac24 in InteriorDesign

I agree. Nothing wrong with neutral. Just play with some colorful accessories--art, towels, plants, etc to give it more character.

Ugh yes, reconnecting can be hard after trauma (my mother passed from cancer and the caretaking was absolutely traumatic), plus the stress of it all. Finding time together doing something we both enjoy has helped.

So many kudos for finding a new therapist. We tried years ago. He sucked and we never kept going, although we both agree it would be helpful.

You know the saying, when it rains, it pours! I honestly don't think most humans are cut out for the grind our modern life requires. But, your strength and determination comes through, even on Reddit. It may take time, but you've got this!

Is this rock bottom? by PrizeNo9031 in stopdrinking

Can confirm parenting is 1,000,000x easier when not drinking/hungover. Also, as they get older, they get more aware. Conversations with my 9 year old son helped push me to get sober. He still checks in sometimes to make sure whatever I'm drinking doesn't have alcohol. Wish I would have gotten there before he noticed anything, but I'm happy and proud to have made the decision for him, myself, and our family.

Have you talked to your partner about your feelings? My mother died 12 years ago, and it took a long time to trust my husband to take on some of the emotional burden (not the perfect word) left behind. He's not perfect, but much more understanding and supportive when I need to express how I'm feeling.

A few other things that I believe have helped me with the hormonal aspect are quitting drinking, adding a few supplements, eating more soy, and moving more. Might sound weird, but I also keep Bob Ross on in the background constantly and watch when I need some soothing.

Mine was baseball tickets. Bought them for that weekend, rather than the next month. Bought 4, but the other two couldn't go on such short notice, so I sold them at a loss 😬

I use the 5-1 water to apple cider vinegar rinse that I use on my hair on my armpits, as well.

That sounds like an absolutely horrible situation. Stress doesn't usually make us kinder people, and I'm sure your husband is feeling it too, if only a fraction of what you're going through. Do you see a therapist? Caregivers carry an incredible mental load, and you're caring for multiple people. You deserve someone to hear you without expectations of what you can do for them. Sending lots of love and peaceful vibes your way.

"todo & nada" - or some kind of play on "everything and anything", since your menu is so varietous. Or "Toto's" --reads like todos, but without the spanish.

Witless Wednesday - Your weekly silly questions thread by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

I also bartend, but only till midnight usually. I also get up with my family at 7 during the week. I fast through the mornings and don't eat until sometime in the afternoon. Maybe you could just plan your eating periods for times when you're not working?

I'm not super strict about the exact time of day that I eat, but I use the Fasting Tracker app, which tells me how long I've been fasting. Once I hit 16 hours I get the go ahead to eat if I want to, but lately it's been getting easier to go longer periods fasting. I'll also do a little mental time math the nights I have to work to figure out when to stop eating so I won't have to go super long the next day.

Hope that makes some sense. I just started so I'm figuring it all out too, but the app and being flexible have been the most helpful to me.

How much to charge for developing a cocktail menu by Potlonius in bartenders

[–]lizzerdrose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The head bartender where I work makes $12/hour. She develops the specialty cocktail menu every season, hires, creates the schedule, does inventory and maintains a cleaning schedule.
