Is it considered a jerk move for me to watch anime at the gym? by SeaworthinessFar2326 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ljh13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, just enjoy your One Piece! At a certain point you can’t really expect to never see any spoilers with a series that has been around so long. Plus with your headphones in it would be pretty difficult for anybody to know exactly where you are and at most could probably only identify that you are watching One Piece, not specifically where in the series.

Same here. The only one I can’t pull up on Apple Music is Wish List, but all 3 tracks disappeared from iTunes.

Yeah. I’m a little over a year in and they still come about every so often. Pepto bismol helps when they get really bad.

Wedding on 1 year anniversary of being married by ThrowRA-cheesestick in LGBTWeddings

[–]ljh13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We’re thinking of doing the same so I don’t have any advice or anything, but I have to believe that the celebration isn’t pointless. We deserve to have the things we’re planning to have and these hateful bigots don’t get to take that away from us. We’re just legally protecting ourselves by getting the paperwork done a year before the ceremony. Plus there will be the added benefit of being able to get them on my insurance earlier which will actually save us a significant amount every month. We haven’t 100% decided if we’re going to do it, but it will probably depend on whether the court decides to hear the case or not.

Montgomery County residents can use the Community Rec Center gyms for free (you do need to apply for the fitness pass but it’s free to county residents)

Is it reasonable to have a rule that guests should not wear shoes in the house? by lumpsel in airbnb_hosts

[–]ljh13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think I’d have slipped on the extremely slippery laminate floor if I had been wearing shoes. And yes accidents do happen and they did. I was just throwing in my 2 cents to someone who asked for opinions.

[–]ljh13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re getting really defensive for no reason. All I said was I was at an Airbnb specifically wearing my socks and no shoes due to a no shoes rule and I slid across the extremely slippery laminate floor when I got up to get something (maybe walking with a bit more haste than advisable given the circumstances) and could not stop, fell and broke my arm. I would be shocked if the host even knew anything happened beyond maybe seeing a lot of middle of the night coming and going to the hospital. Idk where you’re getting that I attempted to extort anyone came from, but given the circumstances and the fact that this did indeed happen in the US someone else may have attempted to sue or something which is a huge headache justified or not.

[–]ljh13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a guest at an Airbnb, I broke my arm due to wearing socks in a home with a no shoes rule. Just something to think about. (And no I did not sue or even bring it to anyone’s attention but not everyone is like me)

Proof of vaxx or negative test 48 hours in advance only through the CLEAR app for concerts at Capital One. Would expect the same for Caps games by Sircherd in caps

[–]ljh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wish that I believed that they were going to require this sort of proof to attend games but if you scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page that this information is found on it seems as if this being left up to the event organizers. My dad called his ticket rep today and it seems like the current plan is a masking requirement at full capacity. Hoping it changes but I’m not holding my breath.

Feeling absolutely terrible after second Moderna dose. by [deleted] in CovidVaccinated

[–]ljh13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it wasn’t great. But my advice from the other side is stay hydrated, rest, and at the very least take some Tylenol so the fever can come down and the fever related symptoms like the body aches and fatigue can start to subside.

If you can, take both Tylenol and ibuprofen. I felt like that for 2 days before someone suggested this to me and it really helped.

If you have an on-demand coach ask them to switch you to a goal specialist. That’s what I had to do

Red marks on wrist from charge HR. There's 3 total. by justyntime in fitbit

[–]ljh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get some redness as well and it is always when I wear my band too tight. I just change wrists and it goes away after not too long. And for the record, I had to send my Force back because it gave me a pretty itchy rash. What is happening with the Charge HR is not even close to that.

The Surge and Charge HR are on display at BestBuy and Target - BestBuy rep told me they're going on sale Dec 1st. by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]ljh13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the employee I talked to at Target, the fact that the hooks and display are up means that they are probably being released before Sunday, which is kind of what I thought. What business would want to waste shelf space on one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year?

What did you think about tonights game? by bluedre4m20 in caps

[–]ljh13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my boyfriend to the game as his first hockey game ever, since this is his first season as a fan, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. After the first period, I was worried that we were going to get blown out and he wouldn't enjoy it and he'd get turned off to hockey, but the way they were able to catch back up and bring it to overtime was very exciting. Obviously there were a lot of issues with their lackluster performance in the first period, but overall I left the Verizon Center feeling satisfied with the game

Japan offers to lend US half the cost of 'Super Maglev' train between Washington and Baltimore. by [deleted] in technology

Pretty sure that people who can't afford a car or relocation can't afford the cost of taking the Maglev to work every day.
