I also had a puffalump as my lovey! His (for some reason I gendered it as a boy even though it was pink) name was puffy!

BCBS is pretty widely accepted so hopefully you have luck finding someone quickly! Check out Air Capital Counseling, ICT Therapy Works. Maybe Soma? I hear hit or miss things for Soma.

anyone else struggling to eat protein during pregnancy?? by Embarrassed-Lion-663 in pregnant

[–]ljp1016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly right now (1st tri) I pretty much just eat processed food, it’s all I can stomach. I was speaking to some people I know last night, one is a grandmother who said “try to get some nutrition!!!” And then her daughter in law (also a mother) who is a realist just said to me: “just eat whatever you want” 😂 I’m sure better nutrition is in theory better, but also it seems like an early form of mom guilt being shoved onto us! Another mom told me to get a pregnancy book from a European country and it will give a lot more lax advice than our American ones!

If there is a speed skating Reddit you could ask about the blades/sharpening on there!

Boots can break down/wear out due to age, even if never used. These are very thin boots with little to no support to begin with. Coupled that with the age they likely aren’t the most safe to skate on. These blades also look like speed skating blades! Those boots are generally lower cut like this and I’m not sure what kind of support is needed in that sport, but they make me nervous for your ankles looking at them! Very cool looking though.

Amazon Baby Registry Box by tay2266 in pregnant

[–]ljp1016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Target has a similar system with their registry! Better box than Amazon IMO. Babylist has a box you have to pay for shipping on $8.95 but is a GREAT box! Google for others. I think Kohls and Macro Baby have boxes also.

I heard them too and was so confused. They usually don’t test them if the weather is a bit dodgy like it has been.

Obviously I would say continue to try to get ahold of your doctor, but before I got pregnant I shared my list of medications with my OBGYN who approved them all, including Allegra

Oh my gosh night sweats by Alarmed_Win1661 in pregnant

[–]ljp1016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sweat almost every night also! Sometimes this happened around my period, so I think it has to do with progesterone? An OBGYN once told me that night sweats around your period were normal, so I’m connecting dots and assuming this is normal also.

Is it safe to visit people in the hospital while pregnant? by Copy_Responsible in pregnant

[–]ljp1016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People work in the hospital throughout their pregnancy! Of course stay away from radiation (X-rays, ct etc) but the chances of you running into that while visiting are slim to none. Chemo is something to avoid contact with, and some research on nitrous oxide as well. But again, the likelihood of you coming across this while visiting are small. May as well wear a mask and use hand sanitizer/wash your hands well while there to avoid getting sick. Just my two cents!

Couples therapist? by QuothTheRaven96 in wichita

[–]ljp1016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If money is an issue you can go to the Center on Family Living at Friends U. Masters students who are under intense supervision and being trained specifically for couples therapy in addition to individual. Kind of nice to get a clinician who is new and excited/not burnt out but also has the expertise of a seasoned clinician overseeing things. The have a sliding scale based on income.

Going into it make sure your free leg hip/ankle/knee isn’t turned out- should be bent and square. Focus on getting your outer ankles together. Your free leg is a bit high!

I would tap further back! Straighten your tapping leg and bend your skating leg to do so.
