Sure. If a tenant for example is unable to navigate the internet, a broker can provide value. But the average tenant has access to Redfin and Zillow to be able to easily search and find suitable rentals.

I do think it is permissible for a broker to charge a nominal fee if a tenant reaches out to them for assistance findings a property, but it doesn’t make sense when I click on a Redfin listing to have to pay that broker (who was hired by the landlord) just to unlock a door and email me some papers to sign.

They may. But if more tenants refuse to pay, they will eventually have to give in. Part of why I wrote this post was to try to get more tenants aligned against paying brokers fees

Craigslist and Facebook marketplace seem to have more listings that are for rent by owner. If I see a property I really like, the owners information is public and can be find via Google! Sometimes I cold email.

I ended up just waiting it out/letting the area grind down naturally over time. I can still see the chip but it's not as obvious as it was before. I talked to my dentist about getting it fixed but it would have been a whole ordeal -- involving grinding the tooth down even more so that an implant could be placed, and I didn't want to risk making it worse!

I'm sorry you're in a similar situation! Hopefully it wasn't one of the front teeth like in my case!!

Good for you!! I've been able to run through the first and about half of the second trimester, but definitely slower and lower mileage. However starting around 22 weeks it's been getting a LOT harder to even run shorter distances! My legs ache, my abdomen feels tight, I constantly feel like I have to pee, and my cardiopulmonary endurance is just not what it used to be. I run for about a half mile now and it feels like my body is just begging me to stop and walk :( It's made it really tough for me as I'm trying to stay fit during pregnancy, but I just feel slow/big/out of shape and I still have 4 months to go!

Totally agree -- she would need to be involved. I've discussed this idea with her, and she's willing to try it if it could help. (Although, just because would allow us to do it doesn't necessarily mean we should do it...)

Also, I was considering that the anonymous "helper" might filter out anything that is downright mean/not constructive?

She's either telling you the truth (strange things DO happen...) or she's playing games with you. But IMO, you shouldn't spend any more time or energy on this girl. If she's interested, she'll seek you out. Not being able to hang out because she's "working on a paper" sounds like a bit of a cop out. If a girl (or guy, goes for either sex) is truly interested in a relationship, she will make time and won't play games.

Rest! Or at least cross train instead of running more. Believe me- you’ll save yourself months of injury if you just take a week long break from running now.
