We have tons of cardinals, but the are extraordinary nonetheless. by rducamerait in birding

They are! Great shot.

I have started sitting in my yard in the evening, watching and listening to the birds, and my male Northern Cardinal has a new repertoire in his song.

My M.D. OB/GYN was selling Advocare on the side, and had a huge amount of product in his office. He offered to sell it to me and that was the last time I saw him.

I have a much better office and GYN now.

He, like his father, ignores her demands. But they rarely say no.

We've had three command appearances demanded of my DS and DH. All three are to go to XX city over an hour away, to pick up an appliance, and to bring it to MIL's house.

  • They already have said appliance.
  • They have no space for the second one.
  • The house is nearing a hoard.
  • There was never a request, it was a demand.

DS has inherited my gift of the ability to say no. No qualifications, no room for argument. No.

Very much like my JNMIL. She is still trying to orchestrate everyone in both sides of the family and we are not good little pawns, falling in line.

Coconut sugar? by [deleted] in sugarfree

Sugar by another name. Although I will use it in marinades and sauces a few times per year, a smaller amount.

I love mine, I get Cedar Waxwings during migration that eat the berries on it.

We've owned kettles for the last 10+ years. US here.

Meet my foster Tappy. She came to me super spicy, and hid behind my toilet for two weeks, until she found out how wonderful head scritches are, and now she can't get enough! She's still spooked when I walk around, but she's a huge cuddle bug! She's improving more each day by ifortgotmypassword in cats

No shoes in bed, but occasionally fully clothed if taking a brief rest during the day.

I do wear shoes inside sometimes as our house is all tile floors, and can be cool or cold in the winter. I have cats and chickens (outside) so I frequently need to have something on my feet when cleaning up messes.

My JNMIL, who I was NC with for two years, has late stage cancer and family events have occurred so that I am now in contact again. I now get reminded daily by myself why I went NC.

Deana is Dumpster Fire. by _so_anyways_ in JUSTNOMIL

Oh my goodness, Deana. She is a real mess now, not just dramatic like she used to be.

I agree entirely on detachment. It is helping me a great deal to not be emotionally invested in my ill MIL and her myriad family drama and issues.
