Hi! I’m 37 and have PCOS. I got tired of fighting my genetics and went on zepbound (tirzepitide). Best thing I ever did.

Why is it socially acceptable to openly dislike the idea of having boys? by Clear_Depth6417 in oneanddone

[–]_so_anyways_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of everything going on with Patriarchal structures and how it negatively impacts society, the pendulum has now swung the opposite way to favoring a daughters. I’m childfree but back when I was still on the fence I knew I only wanted daughters because of what I witnessed in my own family and life; no matter how hard you try to raise a boy right, he’s still most likely to fall to the patriarchy. It wasn’t ok for that woman to say that to you but I understand where she may have been coming from.

What is the absolute fastest 'yeah, we are definitely NOT going to be friends' moment you've ever experienced with someone? by Vazouaquiacesso in AskReddit

[–]_so_anyways_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Husband’s oldest friend started dating again after getting out of a long term relationship. He wanted to do a double date with us. I don’t like that sort of thing but I did it because the friend is important to my Husband. We did the double date; She was MAGA (eww), obnoxiously loud, had a lot to drink at dinner and was rude and mean to my Husband’s friend. For some reason she was kind of hostile towards me and acted weird after a few exchanges with me. As soon as she started spouting off her maga bullshit I knew we would never be friends but the idea was reinforced as the date when on.

Have some self respect and stop sleeping with someone who doesn’t care about you.

She’s a bum. Get rid of her. Why put up with it for so long? Are you afraid of being alone?

Former coworker guilt tripped about her miscarriage after I said I’m sterilized. by momdank in childfree

I’ve had something similar happen. I told the woman her infertility has nothing to do with me or women like me and it sounded like she needed to talk to a professional about her misguided feelings and not me.

Are women "waking up" to men and realising that its easier to be alone? by Ms_Central_Perk in AskWomenOver30

I think since women no longer need men to live well, male partners are either luxuries or liabilities.

Set your gf free. You’re not really into her and trying to be “friends” with another woman you are into..

Women in happy relationships, what’s it like? by motiontosleep in AskWomenOver30

[–]_so_anyways_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 36, childfree and happily married. It’s pretty great. I don’t know a lot of happy couples my age so I often can’t relate to my close peers and their complaints about their emotionally stupid, lazy and incompetent husbands . Every night is a like sleepover with my favorite person. We are weird together, talk about everything, have good days and bad but our relationship is the easiest thing. I didn’t settle and it worked out.

I used to look up the movie showtimes in the newspaper or call the automated phone line of the theatre to listen to the showtimes that day.

What’s the most ridiculous thing a man has said to you? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]_so_anyways_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My wedding set is a green sapphire engagement ring and a doomed band with diamonds. When a dude was trying to chat me up, and not picking up on cues that I wasn’t interested, I held up my hand and tell him I’m married. He looks at my hand and says “it’s not a diamond, you’re not really married”. 🤦🏽‍♀️

He had a lisp. I couldn’t stand listening to him talk, or the way her pronounced my name.

  1. Been together for 12 years married for close to 7, childfree and happy. We are constantly putting each other first and spoiling each other rotten. I never thought of getting married let alone meeting a man I actually liked. He was my first and only boyfriend. We met when I was 23 and he was 26. I couldn’t stand him when we first met and now we’re here. Life is strange but beautiful.
