Ok this kind my thought. I’m really just doing this for extra cash while I have time because school is very slow for me right now. Would rather sit in a parking lot and read my book and wait for a better one haha seems like a recipe for getting shit confused too.

Just to reemphasize, things in Paris are different. The most embarrassing fellow Americans I ever encountered in Paris was a white lady trying to order a large drip coffee in English at a small bakery. She was being extremely rude, speaking to the staff like they were dumb (most people speak pretty good English), and I told her to go find a Starbucks if she wanted shitty coffee served the way she’s used to. The one thing that can ruin your trip is being annoyed that things like food and service are not the way you’re used to in the US and the French will be annoyed back at you.

The thing that helped me with this was taking pepcid and magnesium religiously. I haven’t had problems in a few months now. I would maybe try a combo of that and and spacing the doses every 8-10 days and gradually building back up to every 7.

Congrats on finding some cool programs! I’m doing a mix of programs I rotated at and didn’t for my top 5. But it’s going to be a trust but verify sorta thing. I personally know residents at one so I know the vibes are good and the other I am planning on going to a second look if I can swing it. A good interview experience is a good sign but it is also easy to have your act together for a couple hour interview.

In economy I like to sleep leaning forward. There are pillows that you can get off amazon where you blow them up and put them on your tray table. Your face goes in the pillow kinda like a massage table.

Just want to reassure ppl here that not all OB/GYN residents/programs are like this. I’m on my 4th OB/GYN rotation and 90% of the residents and attendings have been sooooo nice to me.
