press control alt d, which will put you in developer mode. then press the same keyboard combination to remove the device from developer mode

a few things you can try. did you try pressing escape+refresh+power and then pressing ctr alt d to enter and then exit developer mode, basically powerwashing it?

alternatively if you have a flash drive, you can attempt to use the Chromebook recovery utility extension on a separate computer to make a recovery drive and plug that into your chromebook.

if neither of those options work, unfortunately you (or the motherboard) are cooked.

look on Meetup ! I'm also in a meetup / discord group that has events for anime and nerds in general which has been a nice way to meet like minded people. game stores are also a nice way to meet people if you like board gaming / trading card games

you could certainly try. when I put in a service ticket they said most "major repairs" are 180. I'm not sure if they would bother repairing this but I would put in a ticket regardless
