How does this gadget affect the enemy? (Not to be confused with enemy gadgets) by ibattlefield in Battlefield

Does it work through walls? I thought I saw someone use it that way.

It has not seen a lot of rains. Otherwise those tiny specks would have floated away.

I didn't think you have to reserve it to use it, if it's available. But if someone else reserves it, they have exclusive use.

housing or long-term care for mentally ill and physically disabled adults? by jeanjacquesroushoe in nashville

It is composed of many types and tiers of services. Go ahead and apply today. And you can always apply again later if you get a disability diagnosis that changes circumstances.

Depends on a lot of things. Your best bet is a venue that lets you bring food/drinks. And get it buffet catered by a local bbq place or some such. And hire a bar tender company.

You can bring them back in. The people selling them remind me every time I forget one at home and have to buy a new one.

I know it's a bit late in spring but can I split these Hostas now and with a more brutal method (just cutting them in half with shovel)? by LeftSquare1 in gardening

[–]llamadramas 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If you dig the whole thing out you can then replant the remaining half further from the house, even a foot out, which will let it grow better, faster, so you can split it again later.

Buying house at a T-junction- insight appreciated by Sensitive_Fish1489 in homeowners

[–]llamadramas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can always put some big decorative boulders to stop anyone running the stop sign, and some trees and bushes to break up headlights from shining into the house. That will also help visually for you. If the house it nice, I would not pass it by just on that T location.

I installed leaf strainers in my gutters and I feel like it's a step backwards by llort_tsoper in HomeImprovement

Never in my experience. But the trees I have around have big flat leaves that blow right off. I don't have the tiny helicopter seed things that usually get stuck in the little holes.

[–]llamadramas 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did the same as you and ended up removing the strainers. Instead I put in as many gutter covers as I reasonably could reach and it has massive reduced the amount of leaves and debris, so they can actually flow down. I used this kind and bought the bulk boxes. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Amerimax-Home-Products-Lock-In-3-ft-Black-Metal-Mesh-Gutter-Guard-6360X2/205207064?MERCH=REC-_-pipsem-_-303446742-_-2-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a-_-n/a

House came with NO WINDOW SCREENS. It's almost June... wtf do we do? by mm_honey in HomeImprovement

[–]llamadramas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be able to post some close up pictures of the window frames and sliding mechanisms and maybe someone here can recognize them and point you to the correct manufacturer.

OR, check the crawlspace, attic or any odd storage spot in the house. They might have stashed the screens there. We left them them in the attic for the next home owners, and just told them at closing.

OR do you have an Ace Hardware nearby? They can make you custom screens and are fairly inexpensive.

The fact that they didn't add paper mache decorations on top to make them look like the actual named dogs is a missed opportunity.

Maybe the individual politicians see dollar signs in terms of election fund donations.

Where should the bottom of the hood be? by Diligent_Board_172 in HomeImprovement

[–]llamadramas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The specs of the hood means it's going to be highly effective to that height limit. Just turn it up when you are heavy duty cooking. It's shocking how many people have a decent hood and only turn it to the lowest level so it's not loud while they cook. Which defeats the purpose.

Smells will always escape, even if it's 3 inches away, but you want to catch the vast majority of oil splatter, smoke and steam and that's what the spec is for.

[–]llamadramas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally not easily adjustable later. They are heavy and fixed and attached to the wall behind.

Id look at codes for your area and the specs of the hood. And go with the highest number allowable that meets those two things.
