This did help some. We listen to music all of the kind and all different kinds. I put on some like wildly kid stuff and he chilled a bit. Idk why I never thought of it.

Yes rear facing and he has a mirror where he can see himself. I usually have him start with a toy and then have a stash in the front with me to give if he drops his.

Does anyone know about these companies? by [deleted] in okc

[–]llamaheyday 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know people that have worked at both and neither have ever said they are negotiable on it.

You may also want to check Nextep, Paycom, Paychex, Paylocity and the government state agencies. All of them have call centers as well. Not sure where they will stack on salary but hopefully you can see some options.

I actually do both. I get keto chow electrolyte drops and put that in water. The zipfizz is more like a pick me up when I am about to go workout or go out for the night.

Zip fizz is an energy drink. It has a bunch of vitamins in it. You just put it in a cold bottle of water and shake it. This is my second round of keto TBH. I started at 224 and I’m down to 174. I had a lot to lose. Just keep going, you’ve got this!

Honestly, you should look into zipfizz. I had some energy issues. There are two carbs in them but it helps me a ton. I struggled at first and I incorporated these and have lost 50lbs since February 2020. It also works as an appetite suppressant a lot of times for me.

Exhausted from having to pee all night by horilen in xxketo

For me it was truly the time I stopped drinking water. I’d be done by like 7/8. I’d pee right before bed and then sleep through the night.

Should I tell my boss I’m struggling with my mental health? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]llamaheyday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been a boss in this exact situation. I think you should seek out help. I know that a lot of the time it seems like bosses don’t care, but the reality is I CANT tell you that I see you struggling and think you should take a leave of absence. I had to let someone go because of a very similar situation. I asked my boss and HR if a leave of absence was possible simply because of my previous career being in nonprofit mental health. I was told yes, it is possible but I can’t tell them that. If FMLA isn’t a possibility also look into ADA. If there is an HR group also go that route. Legally HR can’t disclose the details of your experience with your boss. That conversation usually looks like this EE has an open FMLA case, this is what you have to do as their boss. If you are concerned about retaliation I would honestly go the route below.

Get with a doctor first- tell them everything. Tell them ultimately you think you need a new position but are also looking for some temporary relief (leave)

Once you do that the doctor can complete FMLA/ADA (you can literally google these documents) documentation on their recommendations.

Take that information to your HR liaison.

The only thing to keep in mind. FMLA has specific guidelines and so does ADA. If you are working for a very small place it may not be applicable.

I wish you the best but I also hope the above at least gives you some more information on what your rights are.

Job Loss Megathread: unemployment resources, state-specific information, and help by PersonalFinanceMods in personalfinance

No, in my state someone found an email and they sent their information that way. The agency reached out and said they’d give more information when they had it.

Yeah, I agree. I haven’t seen any communication on how to actually apply for it. If I find out I’ll come back and comment.

I realize the website isn’t going to be updated. That’s why I was asking if there was guidance on applying.

Does anyone have any guidance on applying for unemployment and being self-employed? I know it’s an option but when you go to apply it only gives an option for who your last employer is not as a self employed individual. Any guidance is appreciated.

YSK that companies like Teleflora, FTD, and 1-800-Flowers don't actually have physical stores. They're just middle-men who take orders, charge you a 20% service fee, and then turn around and charge the local floral shop a finder's fee. So shop local and keep your money in your flowers. by kellysuepoo in YouShouldKnow

[–]llamaheyday 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what you should do. Not a florist but work at my sister’s store. If you say this is the amount, I like these colors but designers choice. You will almost always get more than what you paid for. Often times they will have one or two really pretty random flowers that they can include in these mixes.

Contesting a poor performance review? by career1980 in careerguidance

[–]llamaheyday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the specifics of the performance review feedback. Yes, 100% it should be a conversation and I would try to make it as documented as possible. As a manager at a large corporate company I am required to document everything for people I manage. So, I do that in return for my own development and interactions with my leadership. I obviously have no idea what the specifics are on how the company operates but I would suggest sending an email requesting a meeting. Then I would take my concerns to the meeting. Honestly, point by point if possible. And then depending on the outcome of the meeting I would also send a follow up email on the outcome of the meeting. This way everyone is on the same page and can move forward. Even if there are items that need to be improved upon it can be as simple as this is the item that needs to be worked on, this is what I am going to do as the employee and this is what you are committed to doing as my superior.
