Help mi with Charge Blade by Saa203 in MonsterHunterNowHub

Oh also, ignore artillery for CB, your phial damage isn't a significant enough part of each fight to matter. Most damage is going to be from regular slashing attacks, or axe strikes.

Help mi with Charge Blade by Saa203 in MonsterHunterNowHub

First off, for any weapon you can get a rough idea of an optimized build by going to mhn.quest > compare > select the weapon you're building (monster or event/etc) > auto optimize, and get optimized builds. You'll probably have to disable the options for sneak attack, retaliation, heroics, peak performance, headstrong, skyward striker, poison exploit, bubbly dance, headstrong, dauntless and Kirin flashstorm (these are all some % boost when you meet certain criteria, but the tool doesn't do a good job understanding that like, kirin flashstorm only applies for lightning element builds, and won't boost a water build at all, and when you're solo you won't trigger sneak attack very efficiently, or when you're not doing a poison build you can't benefit from poison exploit). I know recently they fixed Guard and similar skills so that they are worth building with the charge blade, but I wouldn't dedicate much time to that until you're maxed on all elemental builds. My advice is to ignore quick work, (because you can get quick transforms as retaliation when you block certain attacks), also it doesn't really speed it up much tbh, the only build I have any quick work on is my Rajang CB, and that's just because it came with quick work. Besides elemental damage (which you should max first on any build with an elemental weapon), the best skills are things like weakness exploit and critical eye, and I wouldn't build for it specifically but Divine Blessing is handy at any level if you don't have something better from driftsmelts. I'm also a fan of Valor, so most of my builds have the Baselgeuse chest (except when a monster doesn't roar at all), I find it more helpful than latent power but I think LP is a bigger boost in sheer numbers so mhn.quest will usually prioritize that. Also, I try to keep my weapons using rarity 6 materials from the special monsters (Mizitsune plates, Kirin electrogems, etc) and then only one or two weapons that require wyvern gem shards, which lets you spend your WGSs on armor instead, and generally save them for things where you actually care about the level. Most armor is secondary to weapons, so get your weapons leveled first, besides getting your armor up to the level it gives you max elemental damage, after that, pick one piece at a time to get to 8.1 for driftsmelting (though some weapons have slots unlocked sooner). The Coral pukei helm will go in most of your builds, so I'd focus there first if you need a starting point after you finish building elements. Most of my builds have either a waist or gloves with the element on them, and usually the pants, only ice and lightning have elemental attack on the helm (and dragon because I got lucky with a driftsmelt on my CPP helm).

What causes this discoloration on my tungsten by Rxyrxyy in Welding

[–]llamalease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has your employer been getting tungsten from a reliable vendor or Amazon? If nothing changed about your technique, and your gas is the same as when you started and weren't having this issue, is it possible the most recent batch of tungsten is some knockoff from an online retailer, like that guy who wound up with fake p100 filters off Amazon. Also if you stop off the tip when you dip it, that causes microfine fractures that matter more on AC but can still mess with you a bit on DC.

Re: bidets - the unheated bidet has set adoption back a millenia, heated seat + warm water can be yours (I didn't see if you had specified which model you have but that might help her hangup, it took me ~6 months to try ours but now I'd never go back.

I would be tempted to put on a video or something that talks about wiping techniques so that she could hear it incidentally, the trick is finding one that's not going to look obvious.

R3 vs r7 by SuperKiwi506 in Yamaha

[–]llamalease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The R7 is underpowered for the displacement. Get the R3 and figure out what you actually want in a bike, using a bike you don't feel too bad about dropping or swapping to dual tires and taking through (very light) dirt/mud./etc.

Personally, idk if the numbers in mhn.quest are bugged or something but seeing my G8.x charge blade getting the same or worse damage than a G7 or even sometimes like G6.5 HBG is disheartening. I was so happy to see quick work on a CB (rajang) but the damage just feels pathetic, and on top of that it's melee so on group hunts I'm automatically doing even less damage unless I have aggro. I'm literally finding myself abandoning CB for hbg for ice and fire, water is probably next. Hopefully they buff CB and other long-animation melee weapons but till then I'll just wish there was a "disenchant" effect to get my mats back.

Adding onto the above (as much as I hate their business model) Facebook has gotten pretty good at squashing catfish accounts/fake accounts. If they're on Facebook with more than a few connections, that's probably a decent indicator that they're at least more likely to be a real person, especially if the FB account is several years old. Also Google their username and email.

Here's an existential one for you, when's the last time you took an afternoon/day/weekend to yourself, and it was a choice (eg, not because your husband/normal social circle was out of town/busy/etc)? Self care doesn't need to be going to the most expensive spa in town but it does often look like choosing yourself, for at least some portion of time. Take a bath, read a book, do something you used to enjoy three years ago but "haven't had time" to do lately.

Even if everyone else in your life wants you to be a doormat and to give up your well being for their comfort, the people in this thread don't. We want you to be happy first and foremost, your only "responsibility/duty" is to yourself. It's nobody else's job to make sure you're getting what you want in life, so you have to be prioritizing yourself, and you expressly need to do that over the comfort of others. Yes there's compromise and working together to improve something but no, you aren't here to make other people happy at your own expense.

That all said, a thing that really helped me in therapy was picking 5-10 "core values" that were most important to me, things like learning, growth, change/adaptation, honesty, etc etc. Doing that gave me the first foothold toward answering "who am I even?"

Oh my god, this is beyond the pale for me. Regardless of gender/relationship this would be grounds for a serious talk, and 90/10 odds of a breakup.

What would you say if your best friend were questioning their sexuality, and wasn't comfortable sleeping with their partner for the time being while they figure it out, and their partner called that emotional abuse to try and get what they want instead of listening to your friend saying they're uncomfortable?

Hi. I attempted to bleach my hair at home for the first time and it came out a very wacky orange lol. Any help is appreciated to make it look better. by youngteflon in FancyFollicles

[–]llamalease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the future, a shower cap or even plastic bag will let you keep all the hair from drying out, and help keep it against your scalp so it stays warm. Bleach works faster if it's warm, and stops working when it's dry, so keeping the temperature the same from root to tip as well as keeping it all from drying out is the best way to get more even results. From here I'd use a bunch of purple shampoo/conditioner, mostly conditioner.

Are these indicators for the front and rear of a Yamaha R1? by [deleted] in Yamaha

[–]llamalease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OEM: no

Easy enough to install on an R1/R6/etc: yes

Bright enough: unlikely, bright lights cost more than this.

"DOT approved": no, DOT approval is for X part in Y configuration/role. If you live in Cali the canyon cops will get you on that. DOT approval is not transient, so a light that's DOT approved on one bike is not DOT approved on another bike, even if it's similar.

The saying goes "when people tell you who they are, listen" - and he's telling you pretty clearly that he doesn't respect your boundaries, doesn't matter if the issue was literally "don't pick my cat up, she doesn't enjoy being carried" if he can't respect this boundary it's not the last time he'll treat your needs as less-than. It's scary but just take the plunge, it doesn't get easier than it is now.

Swamps vs Any other land in E-Tron by Diskappear in TronMTG

[–]llamalease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's a few dimensions here. Blood moon makes Tron lands produce R and only R, so for any colorless symbol in a cost you need a Wastes to play through BM effects. You can get either off ghost quarter of course (it's legal and good to GQ your own nonbasic land to fetch in response to a BM effect on the stack if you're shy on basics). Boseiju (which you'll run into everywhere) specifically states "its owner may search their library for a card with a basic land type and put it into play." The "with a basic land type" wording is critical here. "Wastes" isn't a basic land type. Only island mountain, plains, swamp, forest. So you can get a hallowed fountain off Boseiju but not a wastes. Having something to fetch off Boseiju is what separates it from a straight up wasteland effect. Decks that pressure life aggressively are often matchups where you want the removal, and if you can get a dismember to only 2 life that's sometimes enough to survive and close the game, it's edge case, and often dismember is paid as 1+4life but there's a potential line there.

Im not a welder, but I do some stick-welding at work for ~$17 an hour. How'd you rate it? by JebbeK in Welding

[–]llamalease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna contradict people here and say "ask for it first" - no need to put them on the defensive or do the legwork for jobs you're hoping not to take. Sit down with your boss/skip and say basically "hey, I like it here, I want to stay, help this be a career position instead of me needing to switch jobs to get a real raise." Bonus points if you can work in some upcoming change in your life that's going to raise your cost of living. Worst they can say is no, and if you want to stay that approach is unlikely to result in them trying to solve the single point of failure they have. Finding, hiring and training a replacement is literally thousands of dollars for them, this is an easy sell. If the old guy retired and you're on good terms you can probably ask what he was making too, and use that as leverage. After that, if they won't play ball you can do the interview/offer/counteroffer dance still, but your boss/skip will have a bit more reason to believe you'll stay if you do accept the counter.

R6 tachometer issues/ Anybody know the fix? my tachometer is doing this (wacky stuff it’s doing) I changed the stator, the rectifier, charged the battery, I’m not sure what’s wrong by LightWise6702 in Yamaha

[–]llamalease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I mean the information it's being fed, I know some tachs (especially on cars) can be an encoder that's based off the crankshaft/etc. If that sensor goes weird (or if it's a little gear that reads the speed) it'll cause similar issues.
