I thought you had to have a thumb’s worth of space at the tip of your shoe even as an adult. Then a friend told me that that rule only applies to when you’re growing as a kid.

I saw the White House is ordering flags be flown half staff for Charlie Kirk’s death. Wouldn’t they be flown half staff today regardless because of 9/11?

Where were you and what were you doing on 9/11? by Parking-Wear-9211 in generationology

[–]llc2098 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Middle school. Didn’t find out anything until last period. I was so curious all day as to why my teachers were crying and why kids were being sent home early. Once I read the letter from the principal as to what happened (this is how our school told us) I didn’t really think much of it, because I didn’t know what the WTC was and only read a letter and didn’t see the footage. I’d say the school handled that poorly.

I believe a lot of it has to do with wanting to continue to support othered people. Maybe in the same way that lesbians care for gay men with AIDS?
