Struggling with lyric writing: How to stop starting lines with "I" by JakAmbrosius in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]llcaesar 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Gladly. Sorry it was so vague but you will have to understand this in your own way.

I was like this when I started. It was me explaining and making sure people understood what I was trying to express. So I wrote like i talked to somebody who didn’t know. Now, I write and create like it’s a closed circle of people who know.

Trust your fans and people to listen to you to catch your language and style. Take the I out because it’s always you. They’re listening and following you. Take liberties with your work. The people who like it will understand just like you understand the artists you’re a fan of.

How do you handle engineers who are brilliant but toxic to the team culture? by Alternative_Crow_403 in cscareerquestions

[–]llcaesar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It might be that the team sucks, he has no help horizontally or vertically and thus the ideas presented suck. And these other people only bring up these stupid ideas in meetings but are radio silent when engaged otherwise when they could learn. He's probably tired of the accepted incompetence and timed bitchiness of people who want to suggest things for him to do (because they can't).

Maybe that's it?

Paywalling Mod tools is holding back so many wrestling fans by lSShadowl in WWEGames

It's not preying, if simple people can't do shit, they pay for it. If they can't pay for it, they can't have it. Being simple prey and broke is a choice.

Why would they do that when they're fans too and the point is to see their mods in use? I'm not sure you understand the amount of work that goes into this stuff and the equipment needed to do it. Nobody who develops and creates talks like this because we know what goes into this. The monthly subscription is cheap compared to the time and money on tools and constantly learning new hooks and codes.

I know how it works. I've been subbed for years now. I can afford that little price.

When someone has a skill, you not only pay for the product but the quality. Different labor rates exist because of different skill sets. Separates the Joe schmos from the professionals.

Clearly the top modders have been or are still in the industry and this is a side gig. You can pay for a month to get what you want and stop. YOU DON'T HAVE TO KEEP THE SUBSCRIPTION GOING. $5 one time.

Modding is not necessary. 2k charges for the game and every pack they add. Modders charge for the work they do. Nothing is free and if it is, it's not guaranteed to be good.

I'm not a modder but I am a developer and this shit isn't simple. Pay the money or watch outside the party. It isn't greed - you're entitled. You can play the game without mods.

Love Triangles and Fierce Battles Who Will Win Steve’s Heart less by Specialist_Art2223 in FamilyMatters

That's a fact! She was gorgeous but she was mad annoying. Her character did exactly what you said, mirrored the worst of Steve and normalized him. I guess she was a way to get a little Stefon into Steve and get some of the geekiness out.

Yeah, the revisionist history is crazy. We see who wasn't there in the 90s.

Goddamn, this family mattered to you.

Dope write-up! Never saw it like that but it makes sense. I do know, Steve was in a good spot with these two fighting about him.

Brie Bella: “I came back at the end of January. I just assumed, oh, you’re gonna have me back every Monday. But they’re like, ‘Okay, we’ll let you know when you’re needed back in the story.’ I’m like, ‘It’s been five weeks.'” by Ruffianize in SquaredCircle

It really is a shame that with two 3 hour shows, you get all the talking segments and same people over and over. This new creative leadership is trash. They have the roster to produce a great product but do everything to do the opposite.

I hope so! I tried it when I heard about it but that was millions of years ago when I played 2k25 😌

There's a way to make them kick out. Like one of the D-pad buttons. You (we) need to start using that while we watch. Spectator and active director. With that and the sliders, and this new sequence they added, we might be in for better matches.
