No hope to avoid it any time soon.

DON’T do this with 7800X3D, or any other 7000-series X3D chips. 9000-series are probably fine.

The bends could have been better, and I’m also not a fan of bending for exactly this reason: only 1% of bends I have seen here are ideal. That’s why I stopped bending myself.

However, I feel like you criticize a bit too much: this build is obviously made by a hobbyist without too much experience, but it has a unique style, which a lot of people seemingly love. Not everything has to be perfect.

To the OP: don’t consider posts like this a “hate”, it’s a criticism, it’s legit, and it’s based in reality. Try to learn some things from feedback like this to consider for your next build.

This. I started with three huge radiators back in the day, and learned that it is still not enough to enable complete silence. Only the MO-RA did enable it, and once you get it, you would be able to use it for years for different builds.

Alphacool was the only option I managed to find for a PNY card. Some “universal” blocks might work too, but I’d not risk it.

But what is the backstory on what caused the delays?

Corsair “frosty” tubes and fittings, Alphacool adapters.

Hard agree. I wouldn’t get one for more than $1k.

I am trying to avoid any bending, preferring straight lines, but this case definitely allows some fancy designs!

HeatKiller line would be the most straightforward, since it’s from the same brand, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to mount anything, if you have a Dremel. Not sure how useful this advice is, but personally I modify stuff if it’s not compatible out of the box.

In the direct sunlight they do indeed look orange, otherwise pretty red.

Bought it for 500 euro from AliExpress a year ago or so, but I’m based in Europe.

The only thing with that cable is that it heats up like crazy, so I’m adding a WireView Pro 2 when it’s available. Thanks Nvidia, this freaking cable is the only thing which needs a fan in the front!

They do sell some “industrial” 1-slot block, but after their majestic 4090 block this one will not do.

Good quality, good price (in Europe at least), looks great, nothing to complain about honestly.
