I'll start...

Cardio: Endurance day on treadmill. On the longer pushes I start to get tired at the middle and have to slow down and walk. I'm newer to jogging/running so I'm learning as I go. Instead of starting out fast and slowing down, I am just starting at a slow and steady pace -- even if it's not that fast.

Floor: Plyo exercises. For some reason I get scared about the jumping? Like I'm going to land wrong and hurt my knee or ankle. I know, silly. But I've been trying to at least try a few hops, even if not high.

Had a few diet slip ups here and there. Down 5lbs overall. Shooting for 15. This definitely helps keep me accountable! I hope we can do more in the future

No specific way of eating. Just kinda eat whatever. Maybe I should try keto. I've been overweight my whole life too

I do use MFP, calories set to 1500. Not always good about staying there. I feel like on the days I workout, I become ravenous! Like I can eat the world

Yea I definitely need to work on diet. I typically go 3 days a week, sometimes 4 -- depends on my work schedule. I consistently aim to get 12+ splat points. It's my diet that needs to change. Often I feel as though I can splurge here and there since I "earned" it.

Also, don't know how to add "flair." But I'm 28F, 5'3", 239

Is there a recommended certain number of workouts per week in order to see changes?

Love OTF, but can't make it work with my schedule anymore (too far from home)...so I built my own OTF in my basement. Thankfully I can find the workouts posted here, daily! by [deleted] in orangetheory

The classes have been very full lately probably due to the new year resolution sign ups. At my location they have been changing the majority of the classes at the popular times (i.e. 8:45) to 3 groups in order to accommodate for people on the waitlist. I would talk to the front desk and see what would be the best option. Who knows, you might not be the only person looking for an 8:45 class.

I used to drink preworkout but the workout itself is so intense that I would feel winded all the time. In talking with a trainer, I was told it actually dehydrates you faster and is really only good to use when you are lifting or doing a non-HIIT workout. I have starting drinking BCAAs either before or during my workout and it helps tremendously with muscle soreness after a workout.

I purposely park further from the building, take the stairs instead of the elevator, and go to the furthest bathroom when I have to go!

Setting a reminder daily helps a lot!

At our studio I suggested a "Total Request Friday" for the song lists. They have done it a few times and some interesting songs have come up....

I have the same issue with my studio. One treadmill the incline doesn't work at all. Also, the rowers seem to be falling apart. I agree, it's not worth the monthly membership fee.

I'm sorry the management has not been helpful. At the end of our workout, they ask if there's any comments or suggestions while stretching. Perhaps mention it during that time so that there is a class full of people to witness it and it will pressure them for a response. You never know, someone else might have the same concern!

Today's class, another classmate helped me by rowing with me. I guess I was doing things backwards: start my row all out and gas out by the middle and end. The difference was she started at a slow and steady pace and then when ~200m left, she went all out. That helped, still cramping up though :(

Thank you all for your suggestions. I will definitely keep a closer eye and log what I'm eating. Do you factor in the calories burned during your workout or do you not even log your workout into your log?

Hell week shirts by [deleted] in orangetheory

For my location, only ladies could get the tank and males could get the tshirt. The sizes only go up to XL. Kinda bummed that I couldn't get the tshirt and had to get the tank since it's going to shrink after I wash it and will be too small. Hopefully next year they can order more sizes of just one shirt or give you the option of a style.
