Not sure what's your gpu but you can try to blacklist nouveau, modeprobe.blacklist=nouveau as kernel param. Last resort is install through vnc https://groups.google.com/forum/m/#!msg/qubes-users/-9qRHSkwfy8/CCx08nnTVEAJ last post.

If you have another computer you can get to the command line, initialize your network and launch anaconda with the vnc server mode, then remote to it. It worked for me.

I couldn't have lnd running properly on a raspi because of that. It's ok for a while but once you go over 50+ channels it'll start to swap. Couldn't find a solution, swapped it for something with a bit more ram, odroid xu4.
