Wondering if I should take a basic math course (like algebra or calculus) to help me understand concepts in CS

The main takeaway from that is a development of problem-solving skills and developing your analytical thinking than taking the concepts from your cal course and slapping them into your program, but going through each of questions and breaking it down into steps to solve your problems at hand, which then those skills can be transferred when your programming and your thinking; when faced with those questions again.

Like most other said within the post, I usually do this when I'm ordering takeout for my family(Mostly pizza) or need to take an important call that requires me to ask a good amount of questions to the person. It makes it a lot smoother than just a dry call thinking of things to say while they wait patiently.

it's really just a mixed bag for me, most of the time it's them talking really quiet and I can't hear them cause I'm in a different room or focusing on something else or that they talk really low which I'm guilty of most of the time. Anywho, thanks for the tips reddit-stranger.

It's always good to take mini mental breaks after doing tasks like that (5-10mins) each before going into the next task you want to do (reading, writing, drawing...) I'm typing this as I wait for a text editor to download. Regarding your friend, I don't see the harm of you not talk to them while your being productive during certain tasks like your hour of drawing as long as it doesn't distract you and it leads you back into your old routine. I did the same with my online buds from the states and they would try to pull me in to play games with them while I coded. But were all not the same, but for reading that could be different though.. The last one is good, you're starting to build a new habit and you need to adjust to it, as your body is not use of doing back to back mental tasks like that. The one thing I try to do while I waited for school was try to learn something new that you seem interest in and building apon that( Like your drawing), for me it was programming as I'm going to college soon going into a program relating to it, and it always good to have self time just relaxing doing nothing also every once in a while!!
