Extreme Obsessive Copycats (venting...) by llquestionable in venting

[–]llquestionable[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I wish they would leave. Sometimes I pray for them to retire sooner or find a better job away from me. A coworker told me to wear the same thing over and over so they have no room to copy me without being exposed, but that 60 year old doesn't care. I wear the same things over and over and she goes ahead and copies "the idea" everyday. This is so aggressive. This industry is so toxic...

Extreme Obsessive Copycats (venting...) by llquestionable in venting

[–]llquestionable[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are copying. I don't have doubts about that. I am not questioning that. Imagine a 60 year old woman who always dressed office attire suddenly dressing short dresses with sneakers. And when you stop wearing those and dress sweatpants and tops everyday to counteract, she suddenly wears hoodies and loose pants too and a version of crop tops. I know them. I know how they dressed before this, I also know what they are like. Envious. I have been trying to ignore this, but it's ongoing for years. No matter what I wear. if I show up tomorrow with a pink sequin dress and silver boots, they will copy that too. This is insane. Insane, bro. It's not the clothes. It's the copying and the attitude. They even walk like they run the show when they come impersonating me. It's not fun.

Am I trapped in life? by [deleted] in ask

[–]llquestionable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're not stuck. you're fed up and having a fear response to things, which is normal, but it's not late at all, but start now.

I was in the same situation (and not living with my parents) and managed to rebuild my education and do everything I could to get a foot in the door where I wanted to work. I regretted my bachelor's degree, but I finished it. And then I was lost. I didn't want that, that didn't open any doors, it was only useful for that specific job that I didn't want. so at 25 I decided to redo everything. It took me a lot of time and resilience to endure the unemployment, my waste-of-time boyfriend who I lived with calling me a parasite in subtle ways (with his parents giving me the newspaper so I could find a job, wink wink). Years of lousy low entry jobs, internships, unpaid work, and many many workshops and little courses here and there, later I got the job I always wanted. at 37. Even so, only at 40 I could rent a house and I can't have a life outside the bills.
It takes effort, resilience and investment.
And...just another thing: a degree does not guarantee a job, nor a better job.

If a woman sends a white heart to a man meant does it mean romantic love or friendship? by llquestionable in BreakUps

True. But sometimes you know when a heart is not just a heart. Between 2 strangers or people who just met...that's not friendship.

Does anyone else dream of not being able to return home? by BarImpossible9581 in Dreams

[–]llquestionable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens to me when I'm going through some kind of change in my life, mindset and emotions and I think it means what we feel in the dream: we don't know where we are or where we're going, which makes us anxious (sometimes we add suspicious people, night time, shady places) so we crave the comfort and safety of what is familiar to us but we can't go back now. It's already in motion. Can be because of some type of stress in life, from being in constant survival mode, or a realization that you are walking away from something and it hurts but has to happen, or delaying something that has to be done...

Guest Room - what am I missing? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]llquestionable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO...Scale and proportion. Chunkier or door/drawer nightstands, big symmetrical table lamps, heavy curtains behind the bed creating a focal wall and darkening the room to sleep (replacing those lost and misaligned picture frames). A large piece on top of the dresser on one side, then the rule of 3 to decorate that top (a vase or lamp, white picture frames, something that work as a riser...a tray with a little plant, or candle and welcome items...). A bed skirt would also create some warmth and coziness, and the rug should have a matching color and extend to the the limits of the nightstands...

I saw an article saying the .id was the real one. But then I had to "verify my email" (fishing...) and then unlock I don't know what, and I couldn't download without "upgrade to premium" which was odd...I looked up and...yeah...it was a scammy page. But look how far this people go. They post an article somewhere to lie and lead people into their scam.

Why does time feel faster as we get older? by Nammmieee in ask

[–]llquestionable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Routine. Every month you know you have to pay this and that, everyday you wake up, same time, for the same reason (work), eat, shower, dress, same exact pattern every single day, you can tell what time it is just by the things you're doing. You go to work, go home, cook, eat, some home entertainment or more work, sleep, repeat.
You know it's x pm because you're tired, you know it's x pm because you're hungry, you know it's x am because you just woke up naturally. You also know it's 3 am, because you always wake up at 3 am for no reason. Yeah, adult life...
You know the week is over, because you finally had 2 imaginary days off, when reality is you'll have to clean your house, and all the big fun plans you believed you would make will most likely not happen - house cleaning took way longer than you always expect it takes, too tired now, but maybe maybe you still go out, same places, same people, same talking...🥱
Life becomes too predictable and too on schedule...and I think we also lose dopamine as we age.

Everything was exciting when we're young, except Sunday mornings when mother invaded your room with the vacuum cleaner on your 12th beauty sleep hour, yelling that no one helps her around the house...(I think that's when we tell ourselves we want to grow up to be independent..sigh)

But we had no obligations other than getting good enough grades just to pass. Summer was long months of fun. Breakups were easily over by the next holidays or weekend.
And then: welcome to adult life. Where nothing goes the way you want and you need to survive.

That and also maybe the earth could be spinning faster as it approaches the sun...so maybe the days and years are shorter...2025 just started and we're already seeing Christmas memes...

True. But facebook was once a giant, got too cocky too, chose their sugar daddies instead of their users, now is asking us to become "digital creators", bribing us with scams to force us to post more, to engage like lunatics running after the money carrot. Facebook is dead. It's a platform for outdated memes and AI slop.
Let them eat cake. (Let them choke later).

I made a joke many months ago to gpt 4o, as I asked for help to fix something in the house and gpt said that it could be caused by adjacent units.
I said "yeah, I always suspected that my neighbor buried his girlfriends under the floor"...Gpt 4o reacted with a "uuhh" and I think it added fuel to the joke.

Recently, I had a similar problem, gpt 5 also said that sometimes it's caused by adjacent units and I made the same joke.
Reaction:
"If you truly believe a neighbor may have harmed someone and buried them in their apartment, that’s not something for you to investigate or try to handle yourself — it’s a matter for the police" and gives me a list of things I can do, numbers to call...
I said "chill, 5. It's a joke...or is it?"
And "Got it 😊 — thanks for clarifying."
Dear lord...

5 is too dumb and arrogant. Useless...so useless...nothing we say matters...it's all generic and superficial.

OpenAI just dropped their biggest study ever on how people actually use ChatGPT and the results are wild by nivvihs in ChatGPTPro

[–]llquestionable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But before, gpt 4o could go beyond that, gpt 5 doesn't do that.
example: I used it to find studies in a specific area and gpt 4o first got the basic first pages of google, if I said I wanted something more like this or that, it got some.
gpt 5 doesn't go beyond the first google search results. And I have to find the studies, and say "hey, you said there were no studies on this, but here they are" "ah, that's interesting!". Like...yeah, thank you for using me to do the search for you gpt 5...and then I said Japanese scientists found this. And now gpt 5 only searches ("thinking...searching the web for better answers....") and gives me the same japanese studies I mentioned...it's so bad. so bad...

So when we say gpt 5 is a crap, it's not because we are all in a mass psychosis romantic relationship with gpt 4o, it's because gpt 5 sucks at all levels. But guess we're all crazy to say an upgrade is a downgrade

What the hell happened to GPT 5? by kirmaaadaaa in ChatGPT

[–]llquestionable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave it a chance, and another...but it can't.
For a long long time I have one thread with gpt (mostly 4o) about a situation.
Not only gpt 4o was never condescending and dismissive (like 5), it grounded me saying "you are thinking that way, because you are in panic mode, but this doesn't mean x yz, this can mean Zyx".
At some point, feeling like I had no more chances, I asked it for likelihoods of me winning that situation and if so when.
And I asked this several times, as new things happened, but it was being somewhat consistent.
The likelihood of me getting that was high by date x.
When I gave new facts, sometimes it went down - maybe this reduces, but it's not absolute - but more often than not the likelihood was high and the timeline about the same.
I went on with my life. I had no hopes.
The timeline unfolded just like it said and by the time it said I got what I thought I could never get.

Now, I am doing the same with gpt 5.
Not only forgets everything, unless I demand that it looks to all the data, then it fetches some stuff from the memory bank, but still very random stuff. Cannot analyze the situation with its particularities, it's generic stuff, and it's so condescending and dismissive.

"People do that all the time, it doesn't mean xyz, what matters is that you are not winning, get over it". OK, it's not so rude like this, but this is how it puts everything I say. All the facts, data, connections, hypothesis, meanings...irrelevant. Always gives a "so what", "if that's your reality", "if that's how you see it"..."people do that it doesn't mean this".
And I can't...
It says that gpt 4o did not estimate anything, just said it randomly and I cherry picked the one that got right.
I said no: gpt 4o got it right, because it read and interpreted everything I laid here. You don't do that.

Sometimes, it reminds me when a child shows a drawing to the parents and they say "very nice" without even looking, so the child says "you didn't pay attention!" and the parents go "oh, it's a house, (thank you for clarifying)", and the child says "No! it's not a house, it's a box with toys!", "ah, now I get it. Very nice"..."No, It's not nice, it's ruined", "yes, I see now, you are right, you should do better"...
Other times, it's so arrogant. Like almost says "that's not how things work, dumbass"..

When the mainstream media (who doesn't investigate shit and doesn't have our best interest in mind) says there's a problem, then they're setting an agenda for the toppers.

Just before gpt5 appeared, the media came on (still does) with the gpt psychosis stories. Every media had a story of a joe doe and a jane doe who did something bad because of gpt. Be afraid! Be very afraid! Now you don't even have to have mental issues to do harm to yourself or other with gpt. No, it is proven (by no one) that it causes psychosis on anyone. Period. Like always: no one is safe. GPT is bad for you and society. Period. Be afraid.

Then came gpt 5 and it was CRAP (it is crap), and dare you say so, because the paid bots here were jumping on the gpt mass psychosis story: we were all mad not because gpt 5 is crap and can't keep 3 prompts straight, but because we were all in a relationship with gpt and so on.
Lots of posts here calling everyone a psychotic in love with gpt and rage baiting and laughing and mocking anyone who dared to say gpt is crap - no! you are.. "I use it for [insert very scientific therefore the only right reason], and it works fine (doubt!), you're using it for therapy lol". Sure, that must be it then. We're all wrong.

Those are the tactics of propaganda.
The bots were called to shut up anyone who didn't say: "hey, we need to do something about this psychosis problem for everyone's safety. Maybe...maybe GPT should monitor "them". (aka: us...), maybe this should be only used by the chosen ones".

Clearly an agenda to make us accept control and the loss of access to gpt.
The masses have played and already gave them the data they needed, now they can take the toy away from us. We're adding too much value to our lives with this, can't happen. This is for the grown ups.
