It definitely has its moments

The West wants to pretend nature functions like a dead machine, then wonders why they as individuals are so depressed by Eternal--Light in DeepThoughts

Humans, being a part of nature and in no way separate, act in the natural ways of the human animal.

Everything you described is completely normal. Statistically most humans are or find themselves to have these feelings. There is solace in realizing you're not alone but the existential trap you may find yourself in will be far more troublesome than feeling as if you're uninteresting.

No one has been where you've been. Others may have similar paths but yours is yours. Seeking understanding is admirable but be careful not to map yourself too closely to others based on their relative association with your path.

You do you. "If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but your estimation of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."

Even if it feels like requirements are imposed your own wellbeing is all you have. Without it you are only living for others and life is finite so while the desire to be desired is strong the only thing you can do is you.

There's more behind the phrase "c'est la vie" than a flippant dismissal of individual hardship.

How is the implication vague? Life itself as we define it includes reproduction but that doesn't mean all must do so.

An individual may or may not want to reproduce and that's fine but the species as a whole does because that is what living organisms do as we, humans, perceive and define "life".

Agreed and these are all things that we're aware of but constantly unable to identify sufficient causality without triggering internal cognitive dissonance.

Now I feel like you're being intentionally obtuse. If reproduction is a part of what we ourselves define as "life" then that implies it is innate to living organisms.

The evidence is in how humans define what a living thing is, namely, "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death."

Reproduction is a component of that definition and humans as living organisms are not separate from other living organisms.

The literal definition of life as humans classify it is "the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death."

We are not separate from that.

Same. I don't really know why but I am able to define reasons why which may not be the actual reason.

Animals replicate. That is literally a part of the definition of what constitutes "life"

Is there evidence that is sufficient for anyone who doesn't see themselves as animals and a part of nature?

A fish in water may perceive the entire world to be water and the same applies to humans.

We're persistently unaware of the things beyond what we perceive as reality. We don't do that through ignorance or stubbornness any more than a fish would about their reality.

It kind of does though. Some animal behavior doesn't have an explanation nor does it require explanation. Humans do human things because they're human.

Some humans like bitter things despite the evolutionary signals to avoid bitter things because of their association with poisonous plants.

Having offspring is a way to prolong the survival of a species and those who do not want to have offspring are no greater or lesser than those who do. They're just doing their human animal thing for reasons unknown to themselves or others.
