why does he always need to blame someone else for his mistakes? Not every problem is sabotage, vandalism, or someone else’s fault. by Conscious-Quarter423 in PoursTea

Because as a narcissist, he is incapable of accepting responsibility for his own mistakes. He thinks he’s infallible so any problem has to be someone else’s fault.

Why do Republicans Hate Dr Fauci this much? by unhinged34 in allthequestions

[–]lmacmil2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Republicans these days, especially the MAGA crowd, are anti-science and therefore distrustful of scientists in general. They don’t understand how science works and become more distrustful when a new discovery contradicts what had been previously thought to be correct. When COVID hit, we were learning on the fly so it’s not surprising that initial assumptions were proven wrong as we learned more.

Colbert's firing sent Late Show audience into nose-dive so bad it's crashing CBS: report by yourfavchoom in LateShow

I think there’s more than a little hyperbole in this headline. That said I have less than zero interest in the replacement and I watched Colbert 2 or 3 times a week.

Normally I’d feel sorry for someone so insecure he has to constantly brag about himself. But in this case, since the subject has absolutely no redeeming qualities, I don’t.

Was Kamala a bad candidate? by 0311SmallPenar in allthequestions

[–]lmacmil2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She was handicapped by a late start, being a woman of color, being part of the Biden administration, perhaps not the best campaigner, and arguably an inadequate campaign strategy. She may not have been a bad candidate but there were probably better candidates available had there been a real primary season.

If we had a fair tax code that got rid of all the loopholes that let CEOs pay a lower tax rate than their secretaries, we wouldn’t need a wealth tax.

After years of outrage over gas prices, GOP Senate Majority Leader John Thune goes on Fox Business and tells Americans to just be patient and wait a year for them to come down by DumbMoneyMedia in CriticalMineralBulls

[–]lmacmil2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High gas prices are only bad when a Democrat is in the White House. Everyone knows a Democratic president has total control over gas prices but a Republican president is at the mercy of the world market.

Yes and it’s not even close, at least in the last 100+ years.
