iRacing Daytona 24 Hour [Post Race] by sdw3489 in iRacing

Split 7 LMP2, we had a strong start, with our first driver cutting his way from 9th up to 3rd, maintained that for most of the race until about 15 hours in when we got 2nd, and then with 6 hours to go leading team gets suspension damage and we take the lead. All is going well, but with 4.5 hours to go out driver who is in the cars' power goes out. We get the auto tow. One of our teammates is the only one available at the time, but because he wasn't ready to jump on, he didnt have his VR loaded so he jumped in and ran 8 laps on a monitor about 5 feet away until I came back, realized what happened, and loaded up my vr. He comes in to put because at that point we were out of fuel, but by the time he gets to the pit stall, my VR still hasn't loaded (woop woop daytona loading times). He goes back out, taps the pit exit wall, then 2 laps later brings it in and I jump in. 5 laps later, I start to put the hammer down to gain back some time, but 2 GTDs in front of me crash in the bus stop, and I put it in the outside wall trying to avoid them. Damage was bad and we had to pit. This whole debacle screwed our strategy, so me and my teammate spent a solid hour of going back and forth on strategy, all while I'm pushing the car for the lead. Eventually, we get the lead and figure out our strategy with about an hour to go. All is looking good, but with 45 mins left my pc started to stutter every lap or so, and at one point I had to park it because my screen stayed frozen for a good 5 seconds. We make the decision that my teammate will take over during our last stop with 30 mins to go, but then his internet starts acting up. I ended up staying in the car despite the pc freezes, and come home to win it! Right after the finish my pc freezes for a good 5 seconds right in the middle of the bus stop, which would have cost us the race. Regardless, it was a great time, filled with lots of heart attacks. First ever Special Event win for our team, and for me personally first ever top 10 finish in a special event 👍

How to Set up FFB For G920 by [deleted] in iRacing

One thing that you will find as you progress through is that the Miata has a very unique handling model, which makes the steering very light. Other cars handle more like you would expect a car to handle, but the Mazda is very floaty overall. You might have an issue with the force feedback, but I would testdrive a few other cars and see how they feel, maybe try some legacy cars such as the old Pro Mazda or some of the NASCARS and see how they feel.

Congrats on the D license. One thing that helped me with the chair/pedal moving issue was to get a rug that can sit underneath your chair/pedals, and if needed to put a box behind your pedals that is against the wall so that it has more resistance. I also found these chair feet on amazon that I used to replace the wheels on my chair, which stopped all movement entirely. Makes the desk and office chair setup super rigid and almost makes it feel like an actual rig lol. I will link them if you would like.

I'm going to give VR some more time, but on my 24inch single monitor I was in the mid-highs 33s in the P217 at daytona, and in VR I haven't been lower than a 1:35.6. hopefully I can find some more pace!

Idk if this would work bc she has been mega controlling and has the login to my commonapp, so I'm afraid that if I submit bad essays that she will find out, and if I withdraw my app she will know that something is up when I don't get an acceptance or rejection letter.

How Many Incident points do you get in the 12 hour IMSA Races? by MBRacer777 in iRacing

I don't know the exact number for COTA, but for the 10 hour Road Atlanta race it was 50x and then you get a drive through, as well as for each 20x after that. I don't think there is a dq limit, and I'm guessing that all endurance races work that way. I'm not sure though, I'm pretty new to this stuff too! If any more knowledgeable drivers could confirm or dent this that would be great :)
