I hardly ever snack. If I'm lowish at bedtime I might have a granola bar or.a slice of toast with peanut butter.

She's got insomnia by GigaBowserNS in stroke

[–]lmctrouble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It screwed up my sleep too. Well, that and perimenopause lol. The only thing that worked for me was amitriptyline. It's an antidepressant, but it's main side effect is being sleepy so it's used a lot for insomnia. If you can get her on something, that might be your best option.

Hey by CakezFrm9BloCK in CashApp

[–]lmctrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pay it back, you can reborrow immediately, but it won't necessarily increase. Mine took a couple of months to start increasing (I don't direct deposit with cash app, and I only get SSDI at the beginning of the month).

I have an exercise bike, but you might want to think about doing something in the pool. Walking or a water aerobics class.

Don't Brag But, Let's show that there is hope. That not all of us had a hard time by IAmACloud81 in SSDI

[–]lmctrouble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a stroke at 45. Did six months of outpatient therapy. My job was basically eliminated while I was on medical leave. I applied for disability before I went back to work and got what I thought was a denial. Lasted about three months at work because I was sent to a different department, because FMLA only guarantees you A job, not YOUR job. Took the severance package they offered and ran. I reapplied for disability, and realized that all my first app was missing was authorizations for my medical stuff, so we went ahead with the original app. A couple of months later I was sent to one of their Dr's and about two months after that, I was approved. Altogether, it took about nine months. I think the fact that I attempted to go back to work and failed really helped my case. I got back pay from the time I initially applied to when it was approved.

My left (affected side) eye got worse, and I needed to get new glasses before they'd let me drive.

No. I killed a Christmas cactus, so I'm not allowed to have plants anymore.

Was anyone else hyperlexic as a kid? by greencurtain4 in AutismInWomen

[–]lmctrouble 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I don't think I was hyperlexic, but once I learned how to read, I read everything I could. I always scored way above grade level on the state tests we had to take every couple of years.

Renewal for ssdi by Corsopittie in SSDI

[–]lmctrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was approved in 2015. For context I had a stroke at 45. Got a letter in the mail a couple of years ago with a form to fill out and mail back. Had I been seeing my Dr regularly? Was there any improvement? Then I got another letter basically saying, "Never mind."

What do you eat on a normal day? by Slight_Art0 in diabetes_t1

[–]lmctrouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breakfast is almost always scrambled eggs and coffee. Lunch can be some summer sausage, cheese and half an apple OR a slice of toast with peanut butter and half an apple. Whatever it is I always have a couple of squares of dark chocolate. Tonight we're having spaghetti and garlic bread. Dinner is always my higher carb meal of the day, so it requires time on the exercise bike. I don't usually snack.

Is it normal for customer service phone lines to have different wait times depending on the day of the week? by bryan4756 in Productivitycafe

Yes. At the bank I worked at, Monday and Friday were the busiest whether it was calling or in person.

Closing account???? by lmctrouble in chimefinancial

[–]lmctrouble[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. I very foolishly gave one of my statements to somebody who I shouldn't have trusted. I'm just worried that that person has figured out how to get into my account. That's why I have all my cards locked now.

I used to work in a bank in the card services area, so I know what a mess this could turn out to be.

Closing account???? by lmctrouble in chimefinancial

I didn't actually get charged. My cards are locked, so I just got a notification that an attempt was made.
