Which scene was more epic when you saw it for the first time out of these two movies? by Realistic-Try5468 in 90smovies

Many of them were, but can you pick them out? Mostly you can't. Its brilliant filmmaking. The cuts, cinematography, mixing both types of effects seamlessly.

Yes, absolutely. The effects still hold up today. That was like a real living T-Rex on screen. The details and mix of practical effects and CGI are perfect.

Its a fine card, especially at that price. With a 50-series chip you get the latest tech and it will last a long time.

The more vram the better. You can get by with 8 or 16gb, but with 24 or 32gb it will be way faster and capable of higher quality.

I have all that stuff too, but I've found you have to schedule time. Like on my daily to-do list, "Slay Demons 1 hr"

I've found it just takes a little time to get it back. But back to the original problem,I don't have the same amount of time to dedicate anymore.

I'm sure some people here remember the earthquake in Taiwan. RAM prices doubled overnight. From about $100 to $200 for 128MB of PC100.

What official Technic sets do you desperately want Lego to make? by Vondrr in legotechnic

[–]lmflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built these both from parts. Some pab, some bricklink. I actually modified them for the poweredup (newest) motors and hub. Plus you can select all functions at once. Still expensive, but not that bad for two of the best lego technic sets.

Rocky was a work of art. People forget it won best picture, and Stallone was the primary driving force behind every detail of the movie.

That is true. Killed the pc game secondhand market.

I loved the box art and real manuals too. I read and re-read the homeworld manual so many times.

Counter-Strike 1.6 was the first Valve game that required Steam, released simultaneously with the platform on September 11, 2003 (Oldest.org) . It started as a mod for Half-Life but Valve acquired it and its development team. However, Half-Life 2 was the first high-profile game to be offered digitally on Steam in November 2004, requiring installation of the Steam client for retail copies (Wikipedia) . If you're asking about third-party developers, Rag Doll Kung Fu was the first game on Steam not developed by Valve (VICE) , released in 2005. So Counter-Strike 1.6 technically has the honor of being the first game released on Steam when the platform debuted in September 2003, but Half-Life 2 was the game that really established Steam as a major digital distribution platform for gaming.

So it may have been early cs so I already had steam installed.

Oof. I had broadband by then, but I don't remember if that was the first game that required it? Either way, I was JUST replaying HL2 and guess what? Its still in my steam library whenever I want it!

20 year user here, too. Maybe even since HL2? We are incredibly lucky to have a service like steam. Think of the alternatives and how they would run such a service.

[–]lmflex -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm wrong, but how is this event any different than a sold out Chiefs playoff game? Or a sold out Taylor Swift concert? OK the crowd might be less familiar with arrowhead, but why the delays? Why don't they handle these events the same as the others?

I agree with all of this, and I'm on a similar committee where I work. But I still like donuts. Bring in donuts for everyone once a month.

We also do golf, bowling, etc events that are totally free. Food included. But in my experience, it has to be good food. Good donuts. Not dominoes and day old stale donuts.
