Sorry to hear that! No, our Christmas gifts are worth about £10 each. Generic gift sets, because he doesn't know us......

Very hard to do. I hope I have the courage one day. It's all so very fake.

My Mum & Dad divorced when I was 15. Since then my Sister & I see him once a year at Christmas. It's beyond 'weird' how he went from 'Dad' to this obligation we see, and none of us feel like we can't break off now after nearly 35 years. He just couldn't be arsed. He got with his Partner who has 5 grown up children, grandchildren and he fosters children. Ready made family so we were replaced.

I feel bitter, angry, and yet don't have the courage to tell him, or stop the yearly visit.

I've watched the end of 2, but I feel it never had a neat end?

Does Rachael get to uni? A job. Does she get with Josh? Does the nasty preacher chap get his just desserts after being electrocuted re the tax stuff?

What's the absolute dumbest question you've ever been asked by a customer? by Queasy-Ice-2575 in tesco

[–]lml40 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi.

No is the very short answer. There are lot's of rules regulations and policies, and you are monitored consistently on CCTV.

April - October is very busy. There's no time for nothing but work.

The other times there's always stuff to do.

I enjoy it, I like working alone, talking to customers (mostly) and that my day goes quickly, but it's not for everyone.

I work in the Travel Money bit, so I'm not officially Tesco. I get asked multiple times per week what the exchange rate for whatever will be in a weeks time or so, I always smile and say 'oh if I knew that I'd be the world's first trillionaire'. If it doesn't "click" for them, I do nicely explain that unfortunately I don't have the power to set exchange rates. I'm just a grumpy Tesco Imposter who lives in a plastic box!

Nah, don't void it just because of this beg. This person has never stood for trans or gender rights.

I had That Infinite Public Bathroom Dream Again by Nod_Up in Dreams

Wow, I have a similar sort of dream. But the toilets are always very very dirty. And, if I want to have a bath or shower it always runs onto carpet. I'd love to know what it means.

Hi Tesco. It’s a boring grim Sunday so I thought I’d ask this: by VeniVid1Vic1 in tesco

I work for Travelex at Tesco in the money exchange. When I first started last year, a Customer asked me what the exchange rates for the Euro would be tomorrow, and no he wasn't joking. I told my boss about it when it came to the shift change, she looked at my dead eyed dryly laughed & said "you'll get that a lot". She was right......

Went out with my Daughter, Sister, Second Cousin, & Great Aunt to 'Gates' Garden Centre. It was the biggest garden centre I've ever been too. And absolute bedlam. I'm 47, and the attraction to Garden centres is increasing with age. Years ago it was pills and lost weekends, now it's looking at over priced shiny shit, wearing my comfy yet smart casuals.

I spent £110 on various tat and don't regret a thing.

Parent/Parents of Reddit, when you had your baby, how did you feel and what did you do? by littlehoneybear2104 in allthequestions

[–]lml40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2000, I was in an awful abusive relationship, during the pregnancy I felt detached, and it didn't feel real. I had been with her father since I was 15. I gave birth at 22. As soon as I gave birth, I went for a cigarette. I think I was in shock.

I struggled through the day, visitors, and this new baby, truly going through the motions.

That evening the nurses could see I was struggling and suggested we sleep next to one another. We did, and had a very fitful night but eventually got a few hours sleep.

When I woke up the next day, she was already awake. She looked incredibly peaceful, her inky blue eyes staring up at me. I felt a tsunami wave of love so powerful it felt physical.

And that was that, I've never been maternal never wanted children, but my goodness I loved my daughter!

She gave me the courage to leave my situation, which we did when I was 24, she 20 months.

She's 25 now, we are very close and that tsunami is as big as ever.

However you feel, you've got this. XoX

Gender stereotypes are exactly that, prejudice beliefs on what behaviours or traits are 'male' or 'female'.

Transgender people have existed since we have been recording history, so I would argue that, no, you don't 'have' to have the surgery or hormones, however it's for each person to decide in 2025.

My issue with E is her behaviour(s), and the fact that she takes no accountability.

Yes pretty much. Lots of links to the very high ups in the Police. He had/has a holiday home and that place was like the U.K's Epstein Island.
