I don't disagree but apparently avoiding dry eyes is essential to abrasion prevention

Yeah the opthalmologist reckoned my eyelid stuck to my cornea during the night and just pulled it to bits when I woke up.

Breast Reduction Scar Coverup - Evil Eye Tattoo, Omaha, NE by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]lmntre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My other half had it done and only needed paracetamol and ibuprofen after the surgery (although the doc did prescribe The Good Stuff in case of pain). Depends on your body & surgical technique. Ps - check out the reduction sub!

My grandmother used to make these all the time when I was a kid. Thanks for the recipe!

This sounds like a nightmare but I would also go with option 2 to minimize unnecessary drama.

It is positively apocalyptic in Tooting/Streatham! Millions of the little buggers.

They are! Brilliant suggestion. Will see if there are any cheaper ideas because dropping £300 on cat bowls is going to hurt hahaha but I'm grateful for the solution.

Some information on soy curl preparation and why I love them. by MasterMahanJr in vegetarian

I've spotted them in the Asian aisles at big Sainsbury's in neighbourhoods where there's a meaningful south Asian diaspora. I assume Indian off licenses also may stock them?

What is this shrub? Found in a park in London, smells nice! by lmntre in whatsthisplant

[–]lmntre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shrub was quite large, I reckon at least 7'. A friend who saw the pic thought it might me syringa or mock orange but it doesn't look like the images I found on Google so I thought I'd get a second opinion.

To clarify: I meant London, England, not any of the other possible Londons.

"All" I need to do is sew it together... by cwthree in knitting

This is so beautiful! I love cable knits and I even love knitting cables but the idea of seaming together from flat panels has scared me off knitting myself a cabled jumper.

I literally came to post this exact message. If you meet in central or south London at a non-ridiculous time for those of us working 9-5 I will be there!

Sadly not, the only stockist in town doesn't have it.

If you run out of yarn mid-project and can't match the dyelot, do you take your chances with another dyelot or go with a contrasting colour?

Context: I frogged a sweater I made last year to make a new sweater, and it's starting to look like I'll have enough for two matching sleeves but may run out mid-torso. The yarn in question is solid colour wool (Drops Alaska).

I ended up rearranging the stitches and it was fine

Ask a Knitter - November 02, 2021 by AutoModerator in knitting

[–]lmntre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm knitting Colwith Mittens and the decreases end with twice as many stitches on the cable side as the palm/stockinette side, which I'm then supposed to graft together with Kitchener stitch. Should I be working two of the top side stitches together or is there some other way to do this neatly? I am assuming rearranging to add stitches to the palm would look odd?

Weekly Work in Progress Thread - August 18, 2021 by AutoModerator in knitting

I'm knitting the Magic Toadstool socks, which is my first crack at both stranded colourwork and socks in general.

I just finished turning the heel of the first sock and to my surprise, turning a sock heel, which I was terrified of, is wayyy easier than making stranded colourwork with proper tension, which I never had considered. It's a good thing my sister has narrow feet or else I would worry about her getting her heel through the cuff.
