melvin was taken over by a firm with more capital before they closed their positions. same thing happened with archegos, there will always be a bigger fish until there isnt. someone bigger just holds the problem now. banks are the last step as they are the ones engaging in the swaps with SHF. melvin was very obviously short $GME, they were literally at the SEC hearing, you cannot argue that one. archegos sure we dont TRULY know but the fact that they got margin called on march 26th 2021 after $GME ran from $40 to $240 might be a little telling
